According to Billboard, the Chicago-bred MC/producer debuted at No.1 on the charts, managing to push 957,000 copies of his third solo disc, Graduation. That total crushes 50’s numbers by more than a quarter of a million records, with Curtis’ first week totals rounding out at 691,000 copies sold.

50 Cent accused Def Jam Records of manipulating Kanye West’s album sales. What a sore loser! According to New York’s Daily News, 50 made the accusations during an interview with British based magazine Uncut. “He’s never had a fraction of the sales 50 Cent has,” Fif said.

We hear that 50 Cent has  “temporarily postponed” his European tour to promote his latest album, Curtis. 50 was slated to perform at the Mobo Awards and Vodafone Live Music Awards in London, as well as an MTV show in Germany on Friday.  However, the appearances have all been cancelled. A spokeswoman for 50 Cent said that “unforeseen circumstances” were the cause of the tour’s postponement. YEA RIGHT!

Record producer Carlos Evans has sued the rappers and two record companies for $2 million, claiming they failed to pay him royalties for a song that sold 2 million copies.
