Chanel pays tribute to the late late Althea Gibson who tore down the color barrier of competition in 1950, when, at age 23, she became the first African American to compete in major U.S. championship and, in 1957, the first to win Wimbledon. She definitely paved the way for Serena and Venus Williams.

Alicia Keys was spotted poolside in her cute lil bikini while on vacation in Australia. Alicia Keys was in Australia performing at a concert this past Saturday. She managed to fit in some time to take in some sun and spend some quality time with her mom. Keys looks great! Go ahead girl!

Swizz Beatz couldn’t hold back and ignore the rumors that have been going around since him and his wife decided to seperate. On allegations that Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys is the cause of Grammy Award winning producer Swizz Beatz pending divorce from wife Mashonda, he has released the following statement:

“This experience has been one of the most difficult times in my life, and as was stated when we announced our separation several months ago, I ask that you continue to respect my privacy in dealing with this personal matter.  However, I can no longer ignore the harmful rumors, that my friend Alicia Keys is in any way linked to my marital circumstances or to the decision that Mashonda and I have made to separate. As a producer, I work with and have many female friends including Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, Lil’ Kim, Eve and others.  I am disappointed that some have chosen to try and tarnish Alicia’s reputation by irresponsibly implicating her in a situation that she has absolutely nothing to do with… (more…)

Alicia Keys is contemplating retiring by the time she turns 30. Keys says she wants to devote the rest of her life to traveling and discovering the world. Keys said:

“I am working hard now so I have the choice to retire when I want,” Contactmusic quoted her, as saying. “I would like to travel the world and stay in places instead of having to move on like I do now. I want to experience difference cultures,” she added.

In 2006 Keys took a break from music and travelled to Egypt to restore her form. The Fallin’ hitmaker insists that she hopes to be able to give up the entertainment industry in the next few years, so she can start living for herself. (more…)

I’m confused. Rumors ran wild that Alicia Keys was the reason why Mashonda and Swizzy broke up. However, it was never confirmed that Swizz cheated on his wife with Alicia who is supposedly still with long time boyfriend, Krucial. Swizz and Mashonda parted ways when she noticed thru credit card statements that Swizz Beats tagged along with Keys on her Europena tour.

Anywho, Mashonda talked about how she felt about Keys in a recent interview with Hip Hop Weekly:

“[Alicia Keys] is her own woman and she has made her own choices. I don’t have a problem with her. I will say this though, I am not a scorned woman. I have a responsibility to raise [my son], he’s my number one priority and everyday I strive more for him and of course my music.” (more…)
