A “shoe-gate” situation is brewing in the White House. Several outlets are making a big deal about the $540 sneakers worn by Michelle Obama on Wednesday while volunteering at a Washington D.C. food bank for the homeless. Ummm? Whats the big deal?

The sneakers, which come in denim and satin, are a favorite of comic Ellen DeGeneres and rapper Kanye West — and they’re “certainly not a reflection of the poor economy,” said FOX News’ Noelle Watters, host of iMag Style. (more…)

The First Lady made the list of the magazine’s 100 most beautiful people. Joining her are first-timers Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart of “Twilight,” Nick and Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers and “Slumdog Millionaire” star Dev Patel. The annual issue will hit newsstands on Friday.

First Lady Michelle Obama said “I had a father and a brother who thought I was beautiful, and they made me feel that way every single day. I grew up with very strong male role models who thought I was smart and fast and funny, so I heard that a lot. I know that there are many young girls who don’t hear it. But I was fortunate.”

The CNN National Report Card: First 100 Days airing TONIGHT (7pm ET) . The show will let viewers grade the President on CNN.com in a live report card.

Led by anchors Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper, John King and Soledad O’Brien, the show will gauge the public’s opinion on how President Obama and other elected officials have handled their first 100 days in office, as well as how the country is progressing on significant issues.

Man! I love our President! How much cooler can he get? So the Obamas are on their European tour. President Obama and the First Lady met with Queen Elizabeth for the first time and they hooked her majesty up with an inscribed iPod fully accessorized and loaded with the “ultimate Broadway” collection of 40 tunes, including “People” by Barbra Streisand, “Aquarius” by Ronald Dyson and songs from a wide range of shows from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes to Rent and La Cage aux Folles, reports People.com. The iPod also contained photos of the Queen’s state visit to the U.S. in 2007. 

 “It was a fun and very welcome gift,” a palace spokesman says.

In tradition, Queen Elizabeth gave the Obamas a silver-framed, signed photograph of herself and Prince Philip.

Jay Leno made history! Yesterday (Thursday), President Obama got to sit down with Jay Leno which will mark the first time a sitting president has appeared on the late night talk show for an interview. President Obama agreed to the interview so that he can sell his stimulus and budget plans for a path of long term economic growth. “We don’t look at it as a process of demonstrating the president’s sense of humor,” White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said, but rather a chance “to explain the economic situation we are in.”

President Barack Obama took some time off to attend the Wizards vs. Bulls game last Friday. He sat courtside, but I’m quite sure if he could really enjoy himself because everyone of course wanted to meet him or take pics with him. Nevertheless, He enjoyed a nice beer during the game and it was nice to see our President just kickin’ back. Obama got up to leave with just under 4 1/2 minutes left, not staying to endure the 113-90 final score of the winning Wizards.President Obama is the first president to attend a Wizards game since Bill Clinton in 2000. Coolest President ever! LOL!
