Beanie Sigel will spend the next three months in prison. The Philly rapper violated his probation for a third time. Probation officials revealed that Sigel provided a false urine sample and tested positive for Xanax and Percocet five times over the past month. Sigel admitted to being addicted to the painkiller and muscle relaxer. After his second probation vilation, Sigel was sentenced to six months house arrest in January, after a second probation violation. In that case, a federal judge found that Sigel took an unauthorized trip to Atlantic City, New Jersey, and had contact with a convicted felon.

Beanie Sigel was sentenced to one day in federal prison on Wednesday (January 9) for a violation of his probation. The Judge also extended the rapper’s probation by 18 months after Beans took an unauthorized trip to Atlantic City and made contact with a convicted felon. The first six months of the extended probation will be served in a halfway house, which will severely limit his ability to travel or promote his new album, The Solution, which he planned on doing on his own since he recieved no support from Jay-Z or Def Jam. Beanie said he is a changed man, but Judge Surrick explained that he needed to show that through his actions. As previously reported,  Beanie recently shot an anti-violence PSA and joined Bill Cosby for a peace march in his hometown of Philadelphia. “If they’re looking at you as a role model, you’ve got to do the right thing,” Surrick told Beanie. That’s True!

“It’s like everybody got their homie, that dude in their squad that’s a rotten mother@#*$er but that’s your man, so you cover up his faults,” Beans said. “I’m a loyal dude. And its not me pointing a finger at certain individuals or anything, see I’m a loyal dude man, [but] not your boys, that sh-t’s crazy.” [Listen here]

Beans expressed that his last album, The Solution, which came out in December, has gotten no support from the label or Jay-Z. Relative to his marketing, promotion, touring, radio play “…man I don’t know what the @#*$’s going on.”

And according to Beans, label mate Freeway is getting the same treatment too. “Def Jam sucks!” Whoo Kid proclaimed on the air, after telling beans it’s “Camel hunting season.” Beans said he’s going to make a personal trip to Def Jam next week to see what the deal is. “Somebody gon’ answer me something,” he said. “I’m not confused about what’s going on, I’m confused about why it’s going on.”

Freeway’s feeling out of the loop as well. He spoke with Whoo Kid on it. When Jay-Z resigned as president of Def Jam, Free said Hov didn’t even hit him up with the news. Freeway got the memo the way most everybody else did. “I heard its official, but I got it off the internet though,” Free said. Beans didn’t get a phone call either. [Listen here]

Beanie Sigel’s friend had to come to the rescue ans save his Maserati from impound a short time before it was placed on the auction block. According to the Philadelphia Daily News, an unknown friend of Sigel had to cough up $1,700 to cover outstanding tickets on Sigel’s car, freeing the 2005 Maserati from a Philadelphia Parking Authority impound lot 12 hours before it was to be sold at auction. What a great friend! The car was reportedly booted and towed in South Philly a month ago. Beanie Sigel never went to recover the luxury ride. In related news…Sigel’s fourth album, The Solution, dropped yesterday (Dec. 11) with guest spots from R. Kelly, Scarface, Styles P, and Raheem DeVaughn.

XXL reports that Prosecutors in Philadelphia have withdrawn car theft charges against Beanie Sigel after he resolved a dispute over a rented Nissan Altima. Sigel had rented the vehicle from Payless Car Rental in South Philly in July and failed to return the car on when it was due back on August 13. When the vehicle was never returned, Payless reported it as stolen but continued to charge the rapper’s credit card. The vehicle was eventually returned on October 5, but $5,000 in late fees had accumulated. According to the Associated Press, prosecutors withdrew the charges during a preliminary hearing on Thursday. “This essentially was a misunderstanding between the two parties,” said Beanie’s attorney Fortunato Perri, who noted that all outstanding fees have been paid.

The event, billed as The Def Jam Platinum Pep Rally, will take place at Morehouse College in the Forbes Arena. The concert will kick off BET’s Hip-Hop Awards weekend and is open to all Atlanta college students free of charge.

Rap star Beanie Sigel will surrender to police on Monday (October on charges of theft and unauthorized use of an automobile, because he allegedly failed to return a rental car for over a month. Sigel – whose license is suspended – rented a 2007 Nissan Altima from a Payless Rental Car service in Philadelphia on July 23. The car was due back to Payless on August 13, but police claim Sigel never returned the car. While Payless continued to charge Sigel’s credit card for holding on to the car, the company reported the vehicle stolen on September 6. “Apparently there was some misunderstanding over when it was to be returned or whether or not payment was continuing to be made,” said Sigel’s attorney Fortunato Perri. “We’re now working out a time for him to surrender on Monday.” Sigel was in New York on business when the police went to his home.

I heard from a reliable source that Beanie rented the vehicle for his cousin who in turn never returned it to the rental agency.

Beanie Sigel really wants too land the title role in the upcoming Biggie Smalls biopic Notorious. According to MTV News, the Broad St. Bully recently auditioned for the role as part of the film’s open casting call. Beans says he is a “huge B.I.G. fan” and feels that he is by far the best choice for the role. “To me, dudes like B.I.G. and Pac are special niggas,” Beanie told MTV News.
“You don’t fuck with niggas’ legacies. I wouldn’t do [the movie] just to say I played the role. I don’t know nobody else in the rap game who could do it and pull it off, as far as who you believe, who’s lyrical enough and fits that image. If I’m watching that joint, I wouldn’t just want to see an [ordinary] actor. Some people might feel some type of way to see Beanie Sigel [playing] Biggie, I don’t know. But I’d love to have a shot at it.” The Philly native, better known for his fierce lyricism rather than his acting, is not without film experience. He had a starring role in both State Property films and has also appeared in the Damon Dash helmed comedies Death of a Dynasty and Paper Soldiers.
