John Legend wanted to capture the historic moment during the We Are One concert at the Lincoln Memorial during Inauguration weekend. He brought his video camera and taped the entire experience and posted it up on his website. The funny part of the video is when Legend speaks to Beyonce, and Michelle Obama cuts in by saying to our President Barack Obama… “Mr. President, you didn’t’ tell Beyonce about ‘Single Ladies’? Your rendition?” Obama laughed and said, “I’m not like Justin. I didn’t put on the outfit. …[But] I didn’t want my girls thinking that I couldn’t, you know…I got a lil something.” He then flips his hand back and forth and said, “This part, I got.”
Our President is so cool! LOL! He not only knew the Single Ladies song, but he knew the dance and also knew about the Justin Timberlake spoof on SNL. I love my President! LOL!
The Beyonce convo is at 6:48 into the video. (more…)

We just got word that Beyonce will sing for President-elect Barack and Michelle Obama’s first dance on Inauguration night which will be held on Tuesday, January 20th, 2009. The Presidential Inaugural Committee has not released what song she will sing.
“It is our hope that we can keep the song secret until the moment,” spokeswoman Linda Douglass told The AP. As you may recall, Beyonce told the Obamas, after he was elected, that she desired to take part of the Inauguration. Beyonce is also set to perform at the Neighborhood Ball (to air on ABC) along with her husband Jay-Z , will.i.am , Mariah Carey , Alicia Keys , Shakira , Sting , Faith Hill , Mary J. Blige , Stevie Wonder and Maroon 5.
Do you think they should have chosen someone else other than Beyonce to sing for the Obamas first dance?

So we hear that Beyonce’s sister Solange has added her two cents in the controversy between Beyonce and Janet. As Previously Reported earlier this week, Beyonce made an offensive statement about the Jacksons in a recent interview with Elle Magazine: “We’re African-American and we work together as a family, so people assume we’re like the Jacksons, but I didn’t have parents using me to get out of a bad situation.”.
Supposedly, Solange came to her sister’s defense in a statement over the weekend that “My Sister ain’t scared of Janet”. Sources say she went on to add “All my sister did was tell the truth… she wasn’t trying to hurt nobody.”
I disagree with Solange (if the statement is true). I truly feel like what Beyonce said was offensive…Its really not like Beyonce to talk like that…
What do you think about Solange’s statement?

We hear that the creator of the 1960s TV Series, Gilligan’s Island, wants to remake the show for the BIG SCREEN and they may book Beyonce to play the role of the island’s sultry diva Ginger. The creator, Sherwood Schwartz said they want to Juno star Michael Cera to play Gilligan. No official statement has been made regarding the movie, but we will keep you posted.

Beyonce wins the YOUTUBE Award! We hear that more people are hitting up YouTube to watch Beyonce videos than any other artist, including MTV staples Soulja Boy, Rihanna, the Jonas Brothers and Chris Brown. What videos do you usually watch on Youtube?

Beyonce said in a recent interview that she hates going to parties because it seems like everyone there is spying on her. Guess she won’t be doing to much partying for New Years! “I don’t really go out much. If I wasn’t a celebrity then I don’t know how I would feel, but it’s not that much fun for me – it feels like I’m in a cage and everyone is watching,” Beyonce says.
The “Diva” admitted that she has had some exceptions, though: “Whitney Houston had a birthday party years ago. She sent the girls in Destiny’s Child personal invitations. We didn’t even know she knew us, so we were ecstatic. We put our money together and flew to New York, dressed up and went to the party and we met her. She was such a beautiful person, it was an unforgettable moment.” (more…)
If you like than you shoulda put a fake ring on it? Hmmmm…As you know Jay-Z proposed to Beyonce with an 18-carat flawless diamond rock which is worth an estimated $5 Million! Because the ring is worth so much, he also gave her an imitation version of that ring which is worth only $5,000 so she can wear in the public eye and during on stage performances. A source tells the media that “Even though Beyonce’s real engagement ring is insured, she doesn’t always feel comfortable wearing such a valuable stone.”
Beyonce showed off her REAL wedding for the first time on the red carpet for Fashion Rock in NYC earlier this year.
