Speculations that Chris Brown and Rihanna broke up hit the web last week. Well a source confirms that the couple are taking a “break” due to the advice of Jay-Z. “Jay-Z told Rihanna she needs to cut things out with Chris, at least in public”, the source tells US Weekly.

The two are spending time apart on opposite coasts. As previously reported, Rihanna was spotted looking at houses in Beverly Hills, and Chris Brown is back home in Virginia. He was spotted at a local Lids store purchasing 14 baseball caps fans say. “He (Chris) said, ‘It’s not what it seems’ about the Rihanna situation,” salesperson Shavon Bradshaw told Us Weekly.     

Real estate agent who assisted Rihanna with looking for a home said,  “She was in a great mood,” never mentioned Chris Brown, and “there were no scars, no bruises, no nothing. [She is] very sweet, very pretty.”

Tyrese Gibson said during a recent interview that he is very concerned for his good friend Chris Brown. He says that the pop star is having a tough time coping with the allegations that he physically abused Rihanna.

“Although he appears to be really strong through all of this, it’s really taking a toll on his spirit,” Tyrese told People.com “People like me and Puff (Diddy), we’re just trying to show him love and keep his spirits up while he’s going through all of the heat, and there are a lot people doing the same for Rihanna. It’s really hard for him to focus right now on his music, even though he really wants to,” said Gibson. “At the end of the day, I’m not trying to justify it because wrong is wrong, but unfortunately, us as entertainers, we have to grow up on stage with a lot of people looking at us. And a lot of people forget that he’s 19, she’s only 21.”

Chris Brown was spotted riding around Beverly Hills earlier this week looking oh so sad. We hear that Rihanna called it “quits” for good and they are no longer dating. Their drama is so crazy, I don’t even care to keep up with them anymore. Meanwhile, Rihanna denies rumors that she was in NYC meeting up with film agents for the potential roles as a Charlies Angel chick or her role in the “Bodyguard” remake.

Whatever! LOL!

As expected, Chris Brown will not attend the Kids’ Choice Awards this month. Reps for Brown announced that he has removed his name from event altogether. Breezy was nominated for favorite male singer and favorite song for “Kiss Kiss” at the March 28 awards show. Nickelodeon said that they would even keep him on the artist list despite his ongoing legal situation involving him beating on Rihanna. Even though an online petition with more than 5,200 signatures had been circulated seeking to take his name off the Kid’s Choice Ballot, the network remained firm on its decision. Brown’s reps released the following statement:

Chris would like to speak directly to his fans, however he can’t because of his criminal case. He also thanked his fans for their support.

Tina Davis’ (Chris Brown’s manager) father is denying that his daughter texted Chris Brown a three-page text message which ignited the altercation between Brown and Rihanna. George Davis told E! News that the latest rumor about his daughter is just a revamp of speculations from years before when she was reported to be having a romantic relationship with Brown who was 16 years old then. “They were saying that before. Those are old rumors,” Mr. Davis said.    

Tina Davis also wanted to clear her name. She requested that her attorney, Marshall B. Grossman of Bingham McCutchen LLP, to issue the following statement:

“The relationship between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown is that of manager and client. There has never been any other relationship. The rumors in circulation are false. There are no emails between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown of the type which have been described in media reports. If the source of the false rumors is identified, legal action will be taken. Given the nature of the legal issues affecting Mr. Brown, Ms. Davis will not be making any further statements.” (more…)

Chris Brown and Rihanna are busy recording a duet produced by Polow Da Don at a studio in Santa Monica, California, E! News claims. A source reveals “We’re told the song was originally written for Rihanna before the fight, but after the beat down the producer believed the track — which ironically focuses on overcoming difficult challenges as a couple — would be the perfect duet.” This story gets wierder by the day.

TMZ has revealed that the text message that ignited the violent altercation between Chris Brown and Rihanna was from Brown’s manager, Tina Davis, who is 40. As you may recall, Brown was rumored to have had a fling with Davis when he was just 16. It brought about much controversy, until Chris Brown started to date Rihanna.

Well, law enforcement tells TMZ that Tina Davis texted Chris three times and talked about “hooking” up later. When Rihanna snatched the phone from Chris and read the text messages, she was very upset and ended up slapping him and hitting him with the heel of her show, then Brown brutally fired back!

The detective’s affidavit refers to the text message as being “from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with.” Hmmmm? Interesting…

There is a lot of speculation and false rumors going around about Chris Brown and Rihanna, but one thing that is for certain is the court documents that outline the details of the violent altercation between the two which were revealed in the L.A. courtroom yesterday.

“Well, now I am really going to kill you.” According to FoxNews, this is allegedly what Chris Brown allegedly said to Rihanna. Court documents say Brown pummeled Rihanna repeatedly in the face, arms, and even bit her. The affidavit details a vicious, bloody, non-stop assault on 21 year old music star Rihanna. The document reveals taht Rihanna read a text message on Brown’s cell phone from an ex girlfriend about a sexual experience they had. The couple began fighting, verbally. From there it got ugly. Brown allegedly tried to shove Rihanna out of the car, began punching her even as blood filled her mouth. The Police say say he bit her. When Rihanna called her assistant to tell her to have police come to her home, Brown allegedly threatened to kill her. “I’m going to beat the . . . out of you when we get home! You wait and see,” a police affidavit quoted Brown as shouting at Rihanna. (more…)
