Erykah Badu had an interesting weekend. The eccentric R&B star apparently had a stalker sitting in the front of her house which caused her to be late for her gig at SXSW (South by Southwest concert). The female stalker who has stopped by Badu’s crib three times prior to this incident, brought several miscellaneous items and spread them out on her grass. The items included blue shutters, a rabbit, a tucan and sketch book. WTF? Police were called to the scene and they had to pepper spray and place the uncooperative woman under arrest.

Sounds Crazy! Badu not only turns her ex-boyfriends into wierdos, but her fans too! Sheesh!

Congrats to Erykah Badu and her baby daddy Jay Electronica. They gave birth to a healthy daughter on Sunday. Jay announced the good news on his Twitter page saying: “Feb 1 2009 my first child, my daughter was born at 1.30 pm exactly. It’s the happiest day of my life.” This is Badu’s third child. She has a son with Andre 3000 and a daughter with rapper D.O.C.

We previously reported a couple of months ago that we believed Erykah Badu was pregnant with her third child…Well she recently confirmed the rumor at the Austin City Limits concert. Erykah said she is seven months pregnant, but she would not say who her baby daddy was. As previously reported, we believe she is dating producer Jay Electronica. (more…)

It has been confirmed that singer Erykah Badu is expecting her third child. Supposedly the father is Badu’s producer Jay Electronica. This would be Electronica’s first child and Badu’s third. Badu has a son with Andre 3000 named Seven Sirius Benjamin, and a daughter with rapper, D.O.C., named Puma Rose. She has also been linked to rapper, Common, but never had a child together.  After the news hit the media, many bloggers were criticizing the singer for having three diffrent baby daddy. Okay, I really don’t like to crack on people, especially their fashion…but WTF is this! Erykah Badu rocked a crazy hair do, hair piece, whatever it is, during her performance in Dublin, Ireland last night. Erykah Badu covers Essence magazine’s new April issue. Badu discusses demanding respect, being a single mom, and her ex-boyfriends Andre 3000 and Common in the cover story.  “I didn’t even see the purpose of marriage. Now I see the goodness in having a partner. But I don’t belong to anybody; I belong to the world right now,” she says in the issue. (more…)

Erykah Badu has a spread in the recent issue of Giant Magazine. In a new interview, she talks about life, music, and her love life. She also talks about her exes, Common and Andrew 3000. Here is a sneak peak of what she had to say:

“I know about the backlash, the ‘Erykah Badu, if you look at her, she’ll make you change gods and wear crochet pants’ backlash,” she says. “But nobody looks at the things that those people have given to me.”

Erykah Badu – Honey Music Video

Erykah Badu has changed the name of her double disc album to “Nu AmErykah.” (I guess that’s creative!) In a recent interview with Billboard.com Erykah explains that the original album name, “Kabbah”, was simply a working title. “I named this album ‘Nu AmErykah’ because I’m dealing with whatever is to come instead of what was,” said Badu, decked out in jeans, a red kimono and her trademark afro.
