Jennifer Hudson who got engaged on her 27th Birthday to David Otunga says that she rather design her own wedding dress than to hire a famous designer to out together her special gown.   “I’m gonna design my own dress. I want to design it… Definitely classic, more traditional than anything,” she said, according to WENN. “I want it to be nice and traditional, but very classy, very classy.”      

Hudson kicked off her tour with Robin Thicke last night in Albany, NY. She also says she has a huge project on the table after her wedding.

Jennifer Hudson stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday. Ellen presented Hudson with several token engagement gifts, LOL, one being a totem bike so she can share with her soon-to-be husband David Ortunga. Is it a poor judgment of clothing or is Ms. Jennifer Hudson pregnant? Hudson performed at a event in Indianapolis over the weekend and she was showing a baby bump…But I think my girl just forgot to wear her “Spanx” that evening. Nevertheless, the media is having a field day with the pics of her rocking not-to-flattering jumpsuit during her performance. I still got crazy love for J-Hud!

Jennifer Hudson may land a role in the next Tyler Perry flick. Tyler Perry says he wrote the film just for Jennifer Hudson, according to People.com. Perry didn’t want to share the details of the project, but confirmed Hudson was interested in working with thim. Who wouldn’t be?

“I just wrote a movie for her that I’m really excited about,” the filmmaker, 39, told PEOPLE at the New York City premiere of Madea Goes to Jail, which was number 1 in the box office. “I’m hoping she’ll be able to do it.”

Unfortunately, her rep tells PEOPLE, “She will not be doing the film as she’ll be on tour at the same time they are shooting.” But you never know… (more…)

After such an emotional Grammy performance, Jennifer Hudson announced that she is launching her solo tour commencing in April. The co-headliner is Robin Thicke! That’s going to be a great tour! Hudson will promote her self-titled debut in a five-week tour to begin April 2 in Philly! So far, the tour stops include, Baltimore, Washington, D.C, New York City, Detroit, Atlanta, Memphis, St. Louis, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Dallas, and wrapping it up in Houston on May 8th. “I am so grateful – my first Grammy and my first tour. It doesn’t get better than that,” Hudson told People.com in an exclusive statement.       

Access Hollywood asked Hudson about her song choice for the Grammys “You Pulled Me Through”, her response:  “It’s definitely a very emotional and close-to-home song, but I like to connect to my music”… “That’s what it’s about — you connecting and giving it away at the same time.”

There was definitely not a dry eye in the room after that performance.

Rumor has it that Jennifer Hudson is to marry her fiance REALLY SOON. Friends of the Dreamgirls star say that her and fiance, David Otunga, are ready to tie the knot this month. Otunga, who has been a big supporter to Hudson during the mourning of the tragic death of her mother, brother and nephew, says that they had to put their original wedding plans on hold. A friend of Hudson allegedly reveals that they are ready now: “It’s going to be real soon. Some people think Valentine’s Day. They’re head over heels in love. She has gone through the worst nightmare of her life and she’s finally coming out of it. Everyone is thrilled Jennifer is finally able to move forward again. Just got good news! Per E!, Jennifer Hudson will be performing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Florida on Feb. 1. YIPPPEEE! I’ll be there! Glad she is slowly coming back to work. Its rough! Especially when everyone is still expressing their condolences, it just brings back the memories. Love JHud!

We hear that Jennifer Hudson is being pursued to perform at the swearing in of President-elect Barack Obama at the Inauguration held January 20th. This would be Hudson’s first public performance since her mother, brother and nephew were murdered.

“Organizers want Jennifer to sing ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ at the Inauguration on Jan. 20,” a Page Six reports. “They are talking to Jennifer about it. It would be the first time she performed since the murders. She is from Chicago and a huge Obama supporter.” (more…)
