Jennifer Hudson self titled album drops today!

‘‘Jennifer Hudson’’ features a gospel tribute to her days in the church choir with a rendition of ‘‘Jesus Promised Me a Home Over There’’ and a track that Diane Warren penned for the singer’s lung-busting balladeer side, ‘‘You Pull Me Through.’’ The album also includes the classic ‘‘And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going’’ from ‘‘Dreamgirls’’ and ‘‘All Dressed in Love’’ from the recent ‘‘Sex and the City’’ soundtrack. Jennifer Hudson tells Essence X-clusively about her new engagement to David Otunga aka “Punk”. She tells Essence that she and her fiance are way to busy to plan their upcoming wedding ceremony. Essence Reports:

“We were like, ‘Okay let’s get married.’ But then I’m thinking, Wait a minute. How do you do this? Where do you start?” Hudson told ESSENCE.com. “I don’t have a clue at all where to begin. Plus, there’s so much going on—he has whatever he has going on and I got all of this going with my projects, so it will take some time before anything can be done.”

Otunga, a Harvard law school graduate and Chi-town native better known as “Punk” from VH1’s “I Love New York 2,” presented his dream girl with a Neil Lane diamond ring. Hudson ended her relationship with a longtime beau of nearly a decade earlier this year and was rumored to have accepted his proposal and subsequently ended the engagement.

“I have never been engaged; that was a rumor,” said Hudson. “[According to the media,] I’ve been engaged, Lord I don’t know how many times to Lord knows how many different people. For the record, this is my first engagement.” (more…)

So…to confirm all the reports that J-Hud and David “Punk” Otunga are engaged (as previously reported yesterday)….Jennifer Hudson wore her beautiful engagement ring to a “Tribute to Patti Labelle Event” held recently. The engagement ring is gorgeous! Punk did say he was an attorney on “I Love NY 2″, right? So he most likely got some $bread$! Congrats… (more…)

So get this…we previously reported a couple months back that singer/actress Jennifer Hudson was dating David Otunga who some of you may know as Punk from VH1’s “I Love New York 2″. Well it has been confirmed by Hudson’s rep that Jennifer and Punk are now engaged to be married! Can you friggin’ believe it.

“I can confirm that Jennifer got engaged to her boyfriend David on Friday night in L.A.” says Hudson’s rep. Hudson, 27, and fiancé David Otunga, have been dating for less than a year and both come from Chicago.

Hudson was previously engaged to her long time sweetheart from her hometown, but they later broke up. (more…)

Well we didn’t want to put this story out until the rumor was confirmed, but pictures don’t lie! It has been rumored that Jennifer Hudson is dating Punk from I Love New York 2. Remember him? The one who looked semi-gay? Well, although the two are trying to hide their relationship, its pretty obvious that Punk seems to be everywhere J-Hud is these days. Singer/actress Jennifer Hudson’s highly anticipated album will finally be on shelves in September, according to Billboard. The first single off the self-titled, Arista release, “Spotlight,” which was written by Ne-Yo, will hit radio airwaves on June 9.  It is confirmed that J. Hud has asked her mentors Alicia Keys and India Arie to work on this LP with her. Jennifer also has gotten help from Timbaland, Robin Thicke and Diane Warren for the debut set. (more…)

Well, well, well…Jennifer Hudson and long time teenage sweetheart James Peyton have decided to call it quits! They two were just rumored to be engaged, but James’ family members have confirmed that the two have separated for GOOD! Jennifer Hudson’s ex lives in Chicago and still works as a janitor… Look like Jennifer Hudson is waisting no time, she is rumored to be dating NFL superstar Kerry Rhodes (i’m a hater!). The two have been spotted at several venues together….hmmm.
