Jessica Simpson’s sister, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is furious about the reports that her sister has gotten fat! As you have probably seen on the web and news, Jessica Simpson, 28, gained some weight which was visible at her recent performance at Kiss Country’s annual Chili Cookoff on Sunday in Pembroke Pines, Fla.

“I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister’s weight,” Ashlee, 24, writes on her blog.

“Since when did a woman’s weight become newsworthy,” Ashlee says: “A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman’s weight or figure.”

 “All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you’re a celebrity, there shouldn’t be a different standard”, Ashlee added.

Jessica Simpson is not liked by some for rocking her “Real Girls Eat Meat” tee. She may have been taking aim at her vegan rival Carrie Underwood, but its Pamela Anderson who was really offended by the comments. Yesterday animal rights campaigner Pammi had a few words to say on the matter during a radio interview in Australia, where she is starring in Big Brother. “I think she is a b*tch and whore,” Anderson said about Simpson. “Actually, I don’t know if she was talking about food or men.” WOW! Ashlee Simpson, 23, and Pete Wentz, 28,  got married in the backyard of her parents’ Encino California home this weekend. They had approximately 150 guests at their nondenominational ceremony which was officiated by Joe Simpson himself. Guests included Nicole Richie and Joel Madden. The decor was said to be goth rocker: black rugs, white couches with red pillows, black chandeliers and lots of red roses. (more…)

It is reported that singer, Jessica Simpson, was hospitalized in L.A. for a kidney infection. Simpson, 27, went to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Friday after suffering a fever. Her rep says, “she has been released and is doing fine”.
