There was a stupid “April Fools” joke going around the net saying that R&B star Keyshia Cole’s mom, Frankie, passed away! There was no “Man Down” situation! I thought it was a heartless joke! Not Funny!

The rumor was that Frankie Lons, star of BET’s hit show Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is” died in a fatal car crash.

Cole’s management, Manny Halley released the following statement regarding the rumor:

“Imani Entertainment has received a huge amount of inquiries in regard to the rumor about Keyshia Cole’s biological mom, Frankie Lons, having recently passed in an automobile accident. The rumor has absolutely NO truth to it — Frankie has not been in any accident of any kind and is doing well at home in Atlanta. We want to thank all of Frankie’s fans for their concern.”

Keyshia Cole’s sister, Neffe, is pregnant once again. She confirmed to S2S that her and her new fiance Soullow are expecting just a year after she gave birth to her son Jaylen. “I’m pregnant and I got an attitude with [my fiance] and i don’t want him to … touch me right now—or ever because it was not supposed to happen this way. Now I’m trying to figure this [stuff] out, ’cause I just had Jaylen.” Jaylen is Neffe’s youngest son, born just last year after the BET reality star decided to keep him in lieu of aborting. This baby will be the first for Neffe and her fiance Soullow. Neffe is already the mother of four children: Brianna, Christare, CiCi, and Jaylen. Rapper Soullow also has children from previous relationships. DAMN! Brady Bunch!

Keyshia Cole performed “You Complete Me” on the Jay Leno Show on Tuesday! I wonder whats next for Keyshia!?

As previously reported, BET Honors went down this past weekend. We heard there was a bit of drama on the set. Keyshia Cole was supposed to sing one of Mary J Blige’s song for a BET Honor Tribute to Blige. But we hear that Blige’s husband/manager, Kendu Isaacs, said NO to the idea. “He thought there was already too much comparison between Keyshia and Mary,” an insider said. “They were going back and forth on it all week. It got ugly.”

Don’t mess with Keyshia…I’m sure she was PISSED! Keyshia Cole ended up paying tribute to a dancer by the name of Judith Jamison. Monica and Anita Baker sang for Mary as a tribute instead. WOW!

Keyshia Cole was interviewed by HOT 97’s Angie Martinez a couple weeks ago. It got really personal and Keyshia Cole revealed her feelings about her ex, Young Jeezy after Funk Master Flex interrogated her, LOL! Thanks to my girl Necole Bitchie. I’ve been looking for this interview for a lil minute.

Keyshia Says:

I just couldn’t do it. It’s weird. After this guy proposed to me, I was like, dang, this is everything a woman lives for: to be married, with a ring, to be able to represent something. But for me, it was the opposite. I was scared. When you get married, you become one; you don’t live just for yourself anymore. I’m just not ready for that. I’m not done with my goals in life. What’s the word when you just kind of fall back and let your man do the man thing? Submit? I’m all jacked up on that word. I just couldn’t submit. But I loved him. That’s the crazy thing about it.

Congrats to Keyshia Cole’s sister Neffe! She is now engaged! Its a “Man Down Situation”!

Keyshia Cole’s album “A Different Me” dropped yesterday 12/16/08. This is the songstress third solo project. “It’s more up-tempo and lighter. It’s also sexier,” the R&B artist says in an interview. “I’m moving forward and growing. This time I wrote more about other people’s situations other than my own, and I’m realizing things aren’t always so bad.”

Keyshia made an appearance on BET’s 106&Park yesterday and revealed that she found love and is very happy with the new man in her life. She says he has an “old soul” and really knows how to treat a woman! Good for her!

This is supposedly Keyshia Cole’s album cover for “A Different Me” which is set to hit the shelves on December 16, 2008. The album is Keyshia Cole’s third solo album.

The album focuses less on heartache and more on maturity of her vocals and lyrics. Cole explained that, “The first two albums were more…painful. It’s a different me this time: a young woman who’s still growing and finding myself, exploring life through different routes musically and in other areas. I wrote more about other people’s situations than my own. I’m moving forward.”

BET is proud to announce that Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is Season 3 is the network’s most watched show totalling 1.9 million viewers who tuned in Tuesday night when the show premiered.

The show posted a 10% increase in viewing among households compared to last year’s premiere, maintaining the series’ consistent year-to-year household growth with each season premiere (1.18 million and 1.24 million households for season one and two, respectively).

Episode two of “Keyshia Cole” aired immediately after the premiere and built on those strong lead-in numbers, scoring a 1.67 coverage rating and drawing 1.5 million households and 2.0 million viewers. Episode two of season three now stands as BET’s No. 1 original series telecast so far this year.
