2008 BET Hip Hop Awards went down in Atlanta this past weekend at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center. Lil Wayne was named “Lyricist of the Year” at 2008 BET Hip-Hop Awards taped in Atlanta on Saturday. The show will air on BET on Thursday, October 23 at 8 PM! Check out some pictures from the event…

The BET Hip Hop Awards went down this past weekend in the “A”. Lil Wayne announced during the ceremony that he is expecting his first baby boy! Wayne said “I got a son dropping any day, pray for me.” So the question is, has Nivea been pregnant with his child all this time? I saw Nivea during the beginning of the year, but haven’t seen her since. We’re diggn’ up the dirt and we will keep you posted!

Lil Wayne leads the pack once again, but this time at the American Music Awards. The award show is set to take place on November 23rd at 8pm on ABC. Side note, don’t you think Lil Wayne is taking it to far with the whole rock star look by getting a lip piercing???

Lil Wayne is nominated for 3 awards including “Artist Of The Year,” “Favorite Male Artist” plus “Favorite Album-Rap/Hip-Hop” for his “Tha Carter III.” For “Fav Rap Album” Weezy goes up against fellow heavyhitters, Kanye West (”Graduation”) and Jay-Z (”American Gangster”). Kanye West and Lil Wayne also go against eachvother in the “Favorite Male Artist” category.

It must be nice to have a Daddy like this! Baby threw his son Lil Wayne a birthday party at Mansion in Miami this past weekend…and he got a real nice gift…$1Milli in CASH from Daddy Baby! Sheesh! Thats what I’m talkin’ about! Like Lil Weezy needs any more money!!!!!

Lil Wayne’s ex wife, Antonia “Toya” Carter revealed on her Myspace blog that she is planning on writing a “Tell All” book about her life with Mr. Carta aka Lil Wayne. Toya and Lil Weezy were only married for two years and divorced due to Lil Wayne cheating on her with Trina and singer, Nivea. Toya did not give any specifics regarding the book, but asked the public to give their opinions as to what issues should the book cover. Questions that are sent in will be taken into consideration to be published in the new book. As you may recall, in one of my most popular posts in Miss Xpose history (LOL), Toya and Lil Wayne had an exclusive interview with Vibe Magazine last year wherein they discussed their relationship and their child, Reginae, together. “The Nino Brown Story” which star Lil Wayne was released today (9/23). The project was produced by Streets Talk DVD and inspired by the film “New Jack City.” The movie basically follows Weezy as he hits cities like Los Angeles to Philadelphia. The rapper isn’t acting, rather its a behind-the-scenes glimpse into his life. Jay-Z, Kanye West, Juelz Santana, and Birdman make cameos throughout.

Also included as bonus materaial is Weezy’s concert in Newark, NJ this past summer and exclusive information regarding his arrest after his first headlining show in New York City last year.

Lil Wayne leads the BET Hip Hop Award nominations this year. The New Orleans rapper leads the way with 12 nominations for the 2008 BET Hip-Hop Awards, the network announced this week. Weezy is nominated for Lyricist of the Year, Best Video (”Lollipop”), and MVP of the Year, among others. Go ahead boy! Kanye West and Jay-Z didn’t do to bad themselves. So we hear that Lil Wayne and singer, Nivea, are engaged to be married. Lil Wayne has always expressed his love for his Nivea even telling Big Tiger and the public that he is “in love with Nivea” during a recent interview on BET. But he never confirmed if they were back dating again. Nivea was married to R&B sensation, “The Dream”, but shortly after having their baby, the marriage failed, and the two are in the middle of a divorce.

Lil Wayne never confirmed if he was Nivea’s rebound, but the two have been seen together quite often and Nivea is rocking a nice ring on her wedding finger…It could be just her wedding ring from Dream LOL, but who knows!

Lil Wayne’s reps have not confirmed or denied the rumor as of press time.

Soooo…50 Cent is really feelin’ some type of way about rappers rippin’ him off. In an interview with Rollingstone, 50 said that rappers like Lil Wayne stole his style to create their own hit song. He said, for example, Lil Wayne bit his Lollipop line…“‘Lollipop’ is ‘lick lick lick lick it like a lollipop,’” 50 told Rollingstone, continuing “And ‘Candy Shop’ is ‘I’ll take you to the Candy Shop/ I’ll let you lick the lollipop.’”

50 says that he is coming out with his solo project “Before I Self Destruct” later this year. He revealed that he doesn’t have to listen to whats out there to create a hit song. “I’m not really listening to anyone else’s records,” 50 said. “I’m in another space where I gotta make what I’m excited about.” “[Other rappers] can take what I’ve done for the last five years and do their version of it and be successful with momentum,” he added. “Meanwhile, I have to reinvent the wheel.”
