Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie called it quits after eight years of marriage. A rep for the couple confirmed the rumors today. “Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed to divorce after seven-and-a-half years of marriage. After tabloid headlines and rumors regarding an affair with Madonna, Alex Rodriguez’s 5-year marriage collapsed amid reports of a new friendship between the Yankee slugger and the 49-year-old pop singer, an only-in-New York convergence of sport and entertainment celebrity. The saga and rumors appeared to have taken its toll on his wife, Cynthia Rodriguez, who said in divorce papers that her husband “emotionally abandoned his wife and children.” (more…)

Pop star Madonna has revealed the name of her new album and has tapped a number of Hip-Hop producers to help her craft the album sonically. The album titled Hard Candy, features production by Pharrell Williams, Timbaland and Nate “Danja” Hills. With those producers on board, the album should get great reviews…

According to Lucy O’Brien’s new book, “Madonna: Like an Icon,” which came out today, Madonna and Tupac almost had a love child? O’Brien says Madonna, in her mid-30s, “desperately wanted children and had various relationships with unlikely men.” The singer’s friend Alison Clarkson recalls when she was briefly dating Tupac Shakur, one year before his death and tried to get pregnant with his baby.  (more…)
