Is Mariah Carey a Diva? Diva in the bad sense of the word. Well we hear that Mariah Carey was very upset that she was not asked to be seated alongside the First Family during the Inauguration last week. Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon were seated in the VIP section where all the other celebs were seated, but Page Six reports that Mariah was furious at the fact that she was not placed next to Aretha Franklin who was seated on the stage area. The reason why Aretha Franklin was sitting next to the Obama family is because she sang at the actual Inauguration. Carey sang later that night at the Neighborhood Ball. Why would Mariah Carey even think she was entitled to be seated on stage too? Am I missing something here? Let us know what you think?

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon said they waited until their wedding to have sex for the first time. Well, that answers the question as to why they got married so quick! LMAO! “It’s not that we had no intimacy, we just didn’t have complete intimacy,” Mariah tells Britain’s Daily Mirror. “…We both have similar beliefs, and I just thought that it would be so much more special if we waited until after we were married.” “And it was, and it still is,” she added. As you may recall, Mariah and Nick dated for only two months before they got hitched last Spring. Still can’t believe their together, I thought this would last only several days! I’m happy for them!

Superstar songstress Mariah Carey has sent a cease-and-desist order to famed music producer and former confidant Damion ‘Damizza’ Young, attempting to block the release of his tell-all memoir “Guilty By Association.” Damizza alleges that he had an intimate four year relationship with Carey that both parties diligently worked to keep hidden from the press. According to the New York Post, Carey’s lawyer Sonya Guardo has issued a letter to Young, citing his confidentiality agreement and advising him to steer clear of releasing private details about Carey in the book.

Fifteen of the hottest female vocalists in the game will be joining voices in a charity tune called “Just Stand Up”. The song features Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Mary J. Blige, Rihanna, Fergie, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, Melissa Etheridge, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole, Ciara, Leona Lewis, LeAnn Rimes and Carrie Underwood. WOW!

The song will be revealed on September 2 on iTunes. All proceeds will benefit cancer research. The idea of the song was created by Antonio “L.A.” Reid, who produced it with longtime creative colleague Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds.

All fifteen of the singers will perform the song live on Sept. 5 during the “Stand Up to Cancer” television special, set to air simultaneously on ABC, NBC and CBS. The fundraiser program will also feature other celebrities including Jennifer Aniston, Lance Armstrong, Katie Couric, Sally Field, Salma Hayek, Meryl Streep, Forest Whitaker and Reese Witherspoon who will all assist in this great cause.
Founded in 2007, Stand Up to Cancer is a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation that calls upon the entertainment-industry and platforms to help fight cancer.

Starting July 15th, Mariah Carey is giving professionals and amateurs a chance to remix her new hit single “I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time”.  According to Billboard.com, a contest will be held on the Web site Indaba Music, a startup social network Web site for musicians. The online community, marketed as a destination for aspiring and established producers and artists, will be furnished with the complete stems of the Carey track for remixing.  “Mariah is the queen of the remix,” manager Mark Sudack tells Billboard, citing the pop star’s work with dance producers like David Morales — for whom she resang the vocals of 1993’s “Dreamlover” — and Junior Vasquez, as well as hip-hop greats like Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Clue, Ol’ Dirty Bastard and the Lox. “This contest is a way for her to continue being a pioneer in the remix world, potentially finding a new sound, a new power, a new energy in the online space, as opposed to just the go-to producers of the moment.”      

Entrants must join Indaba by creating a profile and can then download the song stems, work on their mix and submit it via the site by August 26. The Indaba community will pick its 10 favorite mixes via online voting. Three judges — including Sudack, who co-executive-produced “E=MC2″ — will then select the winner. The producer of the winning mix will receive $5,000, be designated as Carey’s No. 1 MySpace friend for four weeks and possibly have his or her work released.

OK! magazine is quoting an unnamed source who swears the two-month-old marriage of Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey is already in shambles, mostly due to arguments over her diva behavior.

The source says: “Things are really bad between them. The honeymoon period was over before it began. Nick’s been surprised at just how demanding his wife is. He feels like her skivvy and moans she has him waiting on her hand and foot. Of course, they met not long before they decided to get married so there were always going to be things they needed to learn about each other. It appears Nick’s learned he doesn’t like her very much.”

Nick Cannon dispells the rumors in a recent interview with People Magazine. He told People that his marriage is “amazing”. The stud says “It’s the best thing that ever happened to me,” Cannon, who was sporting his wedding band!

Word has it that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have a wedding registry set up at New York’s Bergdorf Goodman, nearly three months after their nuptials at her home in the Bahamas. According to In Touch magazine, the 40-item wish list includes a 19th-century Moser vase, a Buccellati sterling silver picture frame and 24 Christofle Aria place settings, which sell for more than $2,100 each. The rumored U.S. wedding ceremony for friends and family is supposed to take place “later this summer,” according to In Touch.

It has been confirmed that Nick Cannon and his wife Mariah celebrated celebrated their wedding Tuesday night at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, Calif. Only 100 of their closest friends, family and business associates were invited, including Mariah’s manager, Benny Medina, Nick’s father, and his half-brother, Reuben.

Mariah also appeared on Ellen Degeneres earlier this week revealing details of her new marriage.

Mariah and Nick Cannon made their first public appearance as a married couple in New York last Thursday. The couple attended the party for Time’s magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World. They bypassed the red carpet press and headed straight inside the Lincoln Center where the event was taking place. Carey also performed rocking a beautiful silver minidress, according to E! Online. After her performance, she donned a strapless black dress accessorized with her 17-carat wedding ring before she and her husband hit hotspot The Waverly Inn. Mariah is scheduled to appear on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”. This will be her first interview as “Mrs. Nick Cannon”. The episode will air today!

Mr. and Mrs Carey were also spotted recently leaving a resturant in West Hollywood (see pic).

After that he started attending various events with her and a romance began. The rumors got hot when when Mariah attended the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of her movie “Tennessee” sporting a huge diamond on her left ring finger.

Then all of a sudden we hear the 38-year-old singer and the 27-year-old actor were exchanging vows on April 30 at Carey’s Bahamian estate. So were Carey’s friends and family surprised?   

“Some were, but some weren’t,” she told People. “One thing (few people) knew was we got tattoos a few weeks earlier. So anyone who saw my (Mrs. Cannon) tattoo wasn’t surprised.”
Oprah Winfrey told her audience Wednesday that she saw the “Mrs. Cannon” tattoo when Carey appeared on her show about a week before the wedding, but thought nothing of it.
Cannon revealed, “To me rings are special and exciting, but tattoos mean more than anything. They’re forever and ever. They professed our love.”      

It is reported that a dozen guests attended their sunset wedding, where guests feasted on Maine lobster and Dom Perignon champagne. The bride wore a gown by Nile Cmylo that showed off her curves and faded from off-white to pale pink.      

“My pastor Clarence Keaton flew in from New York,” Carey said. “The whole wedding was really beautiful and sweet. Being there with loved ones under the sky … it was a spiritual moment.”      

Cannon talked about how he felt seeing Mariah walk down the isle: “I was elated, but I was thinking, ‘Don’t pass out.’ … (The pastor) said, ‘The eyes are the window to the soul,’ then gave us an entire minute to stare into each other’s eyes. So I was saying, ‘Don’t cry.’”      

 The newlyweds are already thinking about children. “It’s part of the whole purpose of getting married,” Carey said. “I’d just want our children to have the best childhood and upbringing they possibly could.”
