Lil Wayne, Beyonce, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Black Eyed Peas and Mariah Carey are among the stars set to perform at this year’s Fashion Rocks concert. The event which celebrates the relationship between music and fashion will be held September 5th at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. CBS will air the two-hour special the following night. Proceeds will benefit Stand Up to Cancer, a program established by the Entertainment Industry Foundation to raise money for cancer research.

Starting July 15th, Mariah Carey is giving professionals and amateurs a chance to remix her new hit single “I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time”.  According to Billboard.com, a contest will be held on the Web site Indaba Music, a startup social network Web site for musicians. The online community, marketed as a destination for aspiring and established producers and artists, will be furnished with the complete stems of the Carey track for remixing.  “Mariah is the queen of the remix,” manager Mark Sudack tells Billboard, citing the pop star’s work with dance producers like David Morales — for whom she resang the vocals of 1993’s “Dreamlover” — and Junior Vasquez, as well as hip-hop greats like Sean “Diddy” Combs, DJ Clue, Ol’ Dirty Bastard and the Lox. OK! magazine is quoting an unnamed source who swears the two-month-old marriage of Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey is already in shambles, mostly due to arguments over her diva behavior.

The source says: “Things are really bad between them. The honeymoon period was over before it began. Nick’s been surprised at just how demanding his wife is. He feels like her skivvy and moans she has him waiting on her hand and foot. Of course, they met not long before they decided to get married so there were always going to be things they needed to learn about each other. It appears Nick’s learned he doesn’t like her very much.”

Word has it that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have a wedding registry set up at New York’s Bergdorf Goodman, nearly three months after their nuptials at her home in the Bahamas. According to In Touch magazine, the 40-item wish list includes a 19th-century Moser vase, a Buccellati sterling silver picture frame and 24 Christofle Aria place settings, which sell for more than $2,100 each. Mariah and Nick Cannon made their first public appearance as a married couple in New York last Thursday. The couple attended the party for Time’s magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World. They bypassed the red carpet press and headed straight inside the Lincoln Center where the event was taking place. Carey also performed rocking a beautiful silver minidress, according to E! Online. After her performance, she donned a strapless black dress accessorized with her 17-carat wedding ring before she and her husband hit hotspot The Waverly Inn. Nick Cannon explains in the new issue of People magazine on how he fell in love with his wife Mariah in a month. He said it started in late March when he was casted for Mariah’s video “Bye Bye”. “From the first time we sat down to discuss the video at the Beverly Hills Hotel, we connected,” Cannon said in the May 19 issue, which features exclusive photos from the wedding. “We had so much in common spiritually, and we laugh at the same things. I didn’t have to put on my Mac Daddy suave mode. I was able to be myself with her. We are both eternally 12 years old.” (more…)
