Roger Friedman a Fox411 columnist has confirmed (as if we need further confirmation) that  Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were married last week, and that the couple has a “very nice prenuptial agreement.”  “As for the wedding, I know this much,” writes Freidman. “Mariah’s cousin, Shawn McDonald, walked her down the aisle. And the Bahamas ceremony will not be the only one.  “When Mariah and Nick return from their honeymoon, expect a big party and maybe even a second ceremony, something not so secret, for all the singer’s New York pals.”

Time Magazine’s list of the world’s 100 most influential people included filmmaker Tyler Perry, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama and singer Mariah Carey which join the likes of President Bush, the Dalai Lama and Miley Cyrus. Time Magazine announced on Thursday that the cut included 30 celebs whose appearance on the list was based soley on votes on the magazine’s website.  Oprah  Winfrey was cited alongside fellow “influential” entertainers Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Mia Farrow as “heroes and pioneers” for global goodwill.  (more…)

Earlier this week we reported that Nick Cannon proposed to Mariah after she was seen wearing this fabolous HUGE rock…Well, they are not only engaged, but they got MARRIED! Family member Linda Cannon has confirmed to E! News that the couple are, in fact, married.  “Yes, we know,” she says. “He called us and told us all about it. We are happy for him. If that is what he wants then we are happy for him.” Cannon’s family would not confirm the reports that they nuptials happened yesterday at Carey’s new home in the Bahamas. “I’m not going to give you any details, but we are happy for him.” A rep from Jacob & Co. confirmed that Cannon spent close to $2.5 million on the 17 carat ring that was recently spotted on Carey’s left hand! Well according to reliable sources, Mariah is getting romantic with MTV’s Nick Cannon, however she asked that her relationship be kept private. A fellow gossip columist claims the two longtime friends got much closer after she asked him to film a cameo in one of her upcoming videos. “They started spending time together working on the video script and they got VERY close,” sources say.
