Mariah Carey’s single “Touch My Body” made her way to the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, giving the singer her 18th career chart topper and a spot behind the Beatles for the most No. 1s  in the rock era. Carey surpassed second place holder Elvis Presley, who had 17 Billboard No. 1s. Her new album “E=MC2″ will drop on April 15, which leaves her on track to surpass the Beatles’ record of 20 No. 1s before the CD runs its course. Mariah Carey will replace Janet Jackson on this week’s edition of Saturday Night Live. Jackson was due to appear as the musical guest on this week’s SNL, however due to a battle with the flu she was forced to cancel. Mariah Carey was more than happy to replace Miss Janet as it will assist her promotional launch for her new album E=MC² which drops on April 15th.

In a recent interview, Mariah Carey was quoted saying “I’d rather be on stage with a pig! A duet with Jennifer Lopez and me just isn’t going to happen.” when asked if she would ever consider working with J.Lo. WOW!

First it was Kanye vs. 50 Cent…now its the battle of the Divas…It has just been announced that powerhouse divas, Mary J. Blige, and Mariah Carey will battle it out for the number one album on November 20th. Mary’s new album, Growing Pains, and Mariah’s still untitled album will be dropping the same day and I’m sure it will have fans torn between the two. Easy Answer: Buy both!

A former manager for Mariah Carey is claiming that the singer is refuses to pay him the balance due on services rendered as president of her MonarC Entertainment, reports the New York Daily News.
