Poor Miss Jones…

As previously reported, Hot 97 got rid of morning show host, Miss Jones, and replaced her with popular Los Angeles personality Big Boy. Well now we hear Philly’s The Beat (WPHI-FM) gave her the boot too earlier this month. She has been replaced by  ‘The Morning Beat’ an all-music morning show on the Radio One-owned station. So rumor has it that Hot 97 has announced that they are adding BIG BOY in the Morning nationally syndicated radio show to their morning line up. So this clearly means that Miss Jones got the boot and is off Hot 97! In a few weeks, every morning  from 7am – 10am, you’ll be able to tune in and check out Big Boy along with MTV Entertainment reporter Luscious Liz, Tattoo and the rest of the squad. Ebro Darden, HOT 97’s Program Director, says “Big Boy has an unmatched reputation for being entertaining…he also has great relationships with artists. Putting Big Boy on HOT 97 in New York City helps keep the high standard of radio happening for us.” Miss Jones will be departing next week which will allow her enough time to say farewell to her listeners. The new and much improved show with Big Boy will start on HOT 97 as early as July 21st.

A lot of changes are being made in radio. Miami hip hop radio station, 99 Jamz WEDR, got rid of their morning crew, SupaCindy and Big Lip Bandit, and replaced them with Ricky Smiley and Deez Nuts who will begin on July 7th. (more…)

How did I miss this?… I just got word that Danity Kane and Keyshia Cole are beefin’? Did you know this? Danity Kane hit up HOT 97’s Miss Jones show this morning and of course Miss Jones brought up the beef between the two. Listen to the Miss Jones Interview Here:

Frank Lucas, the man whose life was documented in the movie American Gangster, appeared on Hot 97 Miss Jones In The Morning radio show in NYC yesterday. Lucas xposed Diddy’s father on the show. According to him, Diddy’s father was a notorious Harlem gangster.

On Hot 97’s Miss Jones In The Morning show in New York, NFL running back Thomas Jones was asked whether he and actress Meagan Good were expecting a baby. Thomas’ response was “No Comment.” Not “no,” but “no comment.” I GUESS THAT MEANS “YES”!

UH OH Listen to what happened on Miss Jones Morning Show with USHER…things got a bit heated! If you go on Miss Jones show, just be aware that she will ask you about EVERYTHING without biting her tongue…so Usher should’ve known what he was getting himself into!
