Rapper, NORE, was arrested in Miami this past Sunday and was charged with misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct following a altercation at Fatburger, a fast food restaurant. The NY rapper got into an altercation with an unidentified man at the restaurant and reportedly ripped up some flowers and threw a beverage on the victim before punching him in the face. Witnesses say Nore was screaming “Do you know who I am?” LOL! I don’t think anyone cares Nore! Sorry to say. He was released on bond shortly after his arrest. Hours later, Nore updated his twitter account stating:

“Seriously though, I am not a man for negative behavior, at lease not now [i]n my career and [i]n my life. I will not comment on the incident cause I can’t wait for someone like Angela Yee or DJ Vlad to ask me a questions. lol. But, there were no flowers involved. Repeat- no flowers involved. But Fatburger has veggie burgers with wheat bread and also has fries. They have none meat products. God damn!” (more…)

Confirmed artists include the dynamic Maze featuring Frankie Beverly; soul singing sensation, Anthony Hamilton; renowned Grammy award-winning saxophonist, Kenny G; hip-hop emcee and actor, Common; Grammy-winning soul singer and writer, Erykah Badu; R&B singer and songwriter, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds; smooth and sexy, Will Downing; funk, soul and old school jazz composer, Roy Ayers;  West-African-born and critically acclaimed jazz vocalist, Angelique Kidjo; and two-time Grammy-nominated songwriter, guitarist and producer, Jonathan Butler. Congrats to India.Arie! Her album “Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B Chart and placed No. 3 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. Arie’s new hit single, “Chocolate High” featuring Musiq Soulchild, was the No. 1 most added at Urban AC radio this week, while “Therapy” featuring Gramps Morgan has become the No. 1 most downloaded song off the album. Love this chick. I think she is underrated! Don’t sleep on India.Arie now!

DJ Kid Capri was found guilty last Tuesday of violating two restraining orders and for harrassing his ex-girlfriend. He was sentenced to 1 year probation and several fines. The Judge also ordered the DJ to avoid contact with the victim. His ex-girlfriend revealed that she dated Kid Capri, real name, David Love, two years ago, but gave him the boot when she found out he was cheating. After she called things off, he went literally “psycho”! The ex-girlfriend say (she wishes to remain anonymous)

He had been violent with me before, in addition to the constant threats and harassment. I have heard four stories almost exactly like mine involving him. Only difference is, some didn’t go as far and that I pressed charges.

After a risky performance on Grammy day, the day she was set to give birth, M.I.A. announces via her Myspace Page that she gave birth to a healthy baby boy! Congrats! Here’s what M.I.A. said:

“MY BABY IS HERE HAPPY VALENTINES! SUNDAY NITE I CAME HOME FROM THE GRAMMY’S STILL IN THE MOOD TO PARTY, I COUDA EASILY GONE OUT BUT I WENT HOME INSEAD, LUCKY I DID!! COZ MY EARLY STAGE LABOUR KICKED IN AROUND 2AM. MY BABY WAS BORN WEDNESDAY, HE IS HEALTHY, FINE, BEAUTIFUL AND THE MOST AMZING THING EVER ON THIS PLANET – OF COURSE I’M HIS MUM!!! ME AND BABY ARE PUTTING OUR TOUR DATES FOR 2010 TOGETHER AND MAKING MIX TAPES AND FIGURING OUT A WAY TO BREAK OUT OF THE HOSPITAL! HOPEFULLY THE WORLD IS BEEN TICKING ALONG AND I AINT MISSED MUCH.”

As previously reported, M.I.A. was scheduled to deliver her first child the same day as the Grammy Awards. Despite the feeling of labor pains and contractions, the singer peformed anyway with Jay-Z, T.I., Lil Wayne and Kanye West during one of the best performances that night. TV executive Jack Sussman said: “She went into contractions when the show went on the air – and she was not supposed to go on until the eigth act! I asked her to just hang on until 10 p.m. ET. The kid’s a gamer.” She definitely is. We haven’t heard anything about M.I.A. giving birth yet. We’ll keep you posted!

Yes another friggin’ reality show my friends! Are you over it already? Monica is taping her own reality show entitled “Still Standing” which is a continuation of the one hour special she had called “The Single”. A very pregnant Rapper M.I.A. said she will be definitely performing at the Grammys, but she may need a Doctor on stand by. The hip hop star who is nominated for two awards is scheduled to hit the stage on her DUE DATE! “They say that you’re often late the first time, so I’m planning to go,” the mom-to-be, 31, who is engaged to musician Benjamin Brewer, tells USA Today. “We’ll see. People are trying to get me to relax and focus on the baby. It’s like being in parallel universes.”

The 51st Annual Grammy Awards will air live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday at 8 p.m. on CBS.
