Is Ashanti ready to have kids with Nelly? Well in the new issue of Sister2Sister magazine, Ashanti said she was looking forward to motherhood, but she wants to wait until she has enough money in the bank to take care of the amount of children she is hoping to have.  “I need, like, 12 (kids)… I love kids. I definitely want to get married… I’m so family oriented. I want the big wedding, I want the long marriage, I want kids,” she said. “(But) I’ve got to stack my cheese a little bit more… I want to be able to bring my kids into the world nice and comfortable.” (more…)

IFC cable network premiered an episode of its new documentary series Framed with rapper Nelly and Denver Nuggets guard Allen Iverson. On Framed, which is sponsored by Reebok, celebrities create short documentary style films about athletes. For Nelly’s episode, he spent two days in Atlanta, where Iverson spends the offseason, and challenged the basketball phenom to a round of the card game Spades. (more…)

Nelly is building a new multi-million dollar athletic facility in St. Louis. Nelly Inc., the development company owned by rapper Nelly and Cleveland Cavaliers star Larry Hughes said the building will sit on 60 acres of farmland at Page Avenue, near the Maryland Heights expressway. (more…)

Ashanti celebrated her 27th birthday at Cafe Dupri (Jermaine Dupri’s restaurant/club) while in Atlanta for the BET Hip Hop Awards. Boyfriend Nelly was there and they took such cute pics together (see pics from party below). Other guests included J.D, Kat Williams, and Ne-Yo…and many more.

Hip-Hop legend Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell is organizing the 3rd Annual Battle of the Stars Celebrity Football Tournament, which will be held next year in his hometown of Miami, FL. “I would like to see all these rappers and entertainers who claim to be football coaches, who claim to run football leagues either put up or shut up,” Campbell said. “This is a week long tournament, rather than just a game. It is a true tournament of  Champions.”
