Billboard.com reports that the R&B Singer will team up with country musician Keith Urban to perform in Columbus Circle. The NFL has hired experts to study game footage to determine whether players are displaying street-gang hand signals as part of their on-field celebrations, the Los Angeles Times reports. Gang signs in pro sports gained a higher profile during the NBA playoffs, when Boston Celtics captain Paul Pierce was fined $25,000 for making “menacing gestures” (see pic below)toward the Atlanta Hawks’ bench during a game. NFL star Bryant McKinnie was arrested for aggravated battery after a street brawl outside a nightclub early Sunday. The Viking tackle was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence, according to a police report. Police officials were called to Club Space after a fight broke out. McKinnie had been thrown out by a nightclub security guard and was arguing and spit on an Eric Otero, according to a police report. Otero, said he wouldn’t press charges if McKinnie left, however the former University of Miami player went to a nearby strip club, but later returned to Club Space and fought with Otero again. A former cheerlader claims that Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, Jr. is the father of her unborn child. She has filed a suit and according to the court docs, Angela Nazario claims that her and the NFL player had a sexual relationship which resulted in her getting pregnant. She says that Fitzgerald asked her to HIDE OUT in a small town in Arizona and begged her to have an abortion. (more…)
A battle between two of the NFL’s undefeated squads will take place Sunday with the 5-0 New England Patriots facing the 5-0 Dallas Cowboys. Usually Terrell Owens, Cowboys wide receiver, talks a whole lot of trash during the days leading up to the game. Not this time! The press just knew he would have something to say about the game, particularly his match up against Patriots’ receiver Randy Moss in what will be a showdown of the league’s highest-scoring offenses. Instead, reporters found a near poster-sized note left on T.O.’s locker after Wednesday’s practice. LOL! It read:

NFL’s Ricky Williams has been suspended since April of last year for violating the league’s drug policy for a fourth time. But he made moves to ease back onto the gridiron Monday by applying for NFL reinstatement. “Ricky is extremely excited about the prospect of playing in the NFL again and hopeful for a positive response,” his agent Leigh Steinberg told the Associated Press.
