Associated Press reports that Nick Bollea, Hulk Hogan’s 18-year-old son, has been released from jail in Florida after serving five months for causing a serious traffic crash.

Nick Bollea was released from the Pinellas County Jail on Tuesday morning. He had pleaded no contest in May to causing the crash. Bollea was arrested last year after authorities say he sped on a busy street and crashed his father’s car, leaving a friend and former Marine permanently disabled. Bollea could have faced five years in prison, but the victim’s family requested a lesser sentence.

Bollea’s mother, Linda, released a statement Tuesday asking for privacy. She says Nick went into prison as a juvenile and has experienced something that will mold and affect him for the rest of his adult life.

Hulk Hogan’s son  was arrested Wednesday morning after turning himself into authorities for reckless driving involving serious bodily injury. Nick was also charged with operating a vehicle under the age of 21 with a breath-alcohol level of .02 or higher and use of a motor vehicle in commission of a felony. Bollea was involved in an August 26 crash that left his passenger, John Graziano, 22, a Marine, paralyzed. He is wreckless!

ABC Action News has obtained video of Hulk Hogan’s son being pulled over just 16 days for going 107 mph in a 70 mph zone before a horrific crash in Clearwater. Nick “Hogan” Bollea is driving the yellow Toyota Supra that is now just crushed metal. Pinellas Park Police Captain Sanfield Forseth says this should serve as a warning to others — speed can cause irreversible damage.

Nick Hogan and friend John Graziano were injured Sunday night when Bollea lost control of that same yellow Supra and hit a tree on Court Street in Clearwater. Nick Hogan was released from the hospital Monday.  Graziano remains in critical condition. A vigil for Graziano will be held Wednesday at 7pm at the scene of the crash.
