Today a Manhattan Supreme Court Judge sentenced Remy Ma to eight years in prison for shooting her friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph over money. She was sentenced to five years on the weapons charges and three on coercion. The sentences are to run concurrently for a total of eight years. Remy Ma was very upset with the sentence. “I’m not a thug,” Remy Ma told the judge. “I’m not a hardcore anything, I have feelings. I’m a wife, mother, daughter, big sister.” (more…)

Remy Ma is certified crazy! Her wedding to longtime boyfriend was cancelled yesterday. The reason? Well prison guards allegedly found a key that could open handcuffs on Papoose, her future husband. Her fiance (Papoose) arrived to his prison wedding wearing a black sports jacket, some jeans and an oversized New York Yankee fitted cap (as usual). Guards did a thorough search on him and reportedly found him in possession of the “key” and escorted him out of the facility. (more…)
Papoose is going to be sued by a Brooklyn volunteer ambulance service for duping them into staring in his music video…LOL.
According to the New York Daily News, the Bed-Stuy Volunteer Ambulance is claiming that Papoose put them in his video “Ambulance” which targets fellow Brooklyn rapper Uncle Murda. “His people told us the video would be about the neighborhood and how we respond to save lives,” Rocky Robinson, founder of Bed-Stuy Volunteer Ambulance, told The Daily News. “We don’t want to be a part of something where somebody gets hurt. Our image is everything to us.”

Papoose previously denied the story claiming him and girlfriend, Remy Ma were engaged to get married. Now the rappers confessed that they lied to the press to protect their privacy during Remy’s trial. As reported last week, Remy was convicted on four counts of assault associated with a firearm. In a recent interview with San Francisco radio station KMEL on Monday (March 3), Papoose confirmed the fight rumors, adding that he put “work in” on Fat Joe.
“I’m from Brooklyn, New York, man. We don’t bow down to nobody, we don’t take no BS from nobody,” the rapper said. “This dude came at me sideways, chose to approach me with a bunch of bodyguards and all that, asked me did I have a problem with him. I asked him did he have a problem with me. We got into a scuffle, I did what I did, man. I put my work in.
“I asked the dude for a fair one, Fat Joe,” he continued. “I told him ‘Yo, listen man, let all your mans step outside, my two mans — I only had two dudes with me, he had like nine or ten with him — and me and you do the one on one. He didn’t wanna do that. He refused to do that. So we just got it on like that. I got it on with all them dudes. Don’t deny the facts. He can’t deny the fact that I put my work in.” Listen here:
Papoose says things got physical with Fat Joe backstage at a North Carolina (CIAA) concert over the weekend. Can’t we all just get along.
DJ Kay Slay announced that his artist and protégé Papoose has been released from his contract with Jive Records during his Streetsweeper’s Radio show on Sirius Satellite Radio last night. Slay called the one-year term that Pap was signed to the label “a year of hell” and expressed his distaste for the A&R of the company. The Brooklyn MC’s contract with Jive was reported to be worth $1.5 million.
