In celebration of the 2008 ESSENCE Music Festival (”EMF”), Essence and MissXpose.com have collaborated for an Essence Music Festival Concert Ticket Giveaway!

The Giveaway is called the “EMF Celebrity Look-a-Like” Contest! To enter, anyone who believes that they look like a celebrity who will be performing in this years Essence Music Festival Concert Series can send their photo with the name of the celebrity in which they look like to EssenceContest@missxpose.com. All pictures should have clear clarity and be in .jpeg format.

One Grand Prize Winner will win one (1) pair of tickets to ALL three (3) night performances (FRIDAY, JULY 4  SATURDAY, JULY 5  SUNDAY, JULY 6)

The Paid Dues Festival captured the true essence of Hip Hop as it made its stop in Fort Lauderdale, FL this past weekend. Nas once said that Hip Hop was dead…and even though it sounds like it when you turn on the radio nowadays, great artists such as Kidz in the Hall, Major League, Buckshot, Supernatural, and DJ Scratch of the Roots who hit the stage on Saturday reminded us that Hip Hop still lives on. Supernatural had the crowd hyped delivering his notorious impromptu freestyles alongside Scratch. One of the most remarkable performances of the night was from Solillaquist of Sound, an eccentric group by way of Orlando, Fl. Their sound was a compilation of Hip Hop, Drum-n-Bass, Neo-Soul, with a mixture of Spoken Word all in one. DiVINCi, Solilla’s producer, is without question one of the most exciting and talented producers out today. S.O.S. had the crowd in complete euphoria as they graced the stage stunning everyone in the audience with their exceptional talent.
