Queen Latifah got a suprise when she was served with a lawsuit from her makeup artist and fashion stylist. They both claim that Latifah owes them some BIG MONEY. According to AP, Celebrity cosmetology consultant Roxanna Floyd says she is due $700,000 for work she did in 2005 and 2008. Damn how much these folks get paid? In a seperate lawsuit, Susan Moses, a celeb stylist says she never got her payment of $300,000 for work done around the same time. Both lawsuits were filed with a Manhattan Federal Court.

Queen Latifah’s spokesperson says the lawsuits are bogus and have no merit. We’ll keep you posted on the developments.

Queen Latifah turned 39 over the weekend. She brought in her birthday with celebrity friends at a lavish b-day party at SIR in L.A. Lil Kim, Tyrese, Nas, LisaRaye, amongst others attended the celebration. Check out the pics!

The People’s Choice Award went down on Wednesday. The CBS ceremony was hosted by Queen Latifah who was looking absolutely stunning in her gowns. The event took place at the Shrine Auditorium. “The Dark Knight” soared away with every trophy it was nominated for Wednesday at the 35th annual fan-favorite CBS ceremony.

The Queen didn’t start the New Year off to a good start! Queen Latifah, real name Dana Owens, was a victim of a robbery. We hear that thieves stole more than $10,000.00 worth of her jewelry from her luxury villa in Tobago, an island resort in the Caribbean, according to the local paper, Trinidad and Tobago’s Newsday. MSNBC says that two gold rings, a gold chain and a silver ring were allegedly taken from singer’s $1,000-a-night villa. Police say they believe that staff of the luxury resort stole her stuff.

“Several searches are being carried out and the police are trying to have the jewelry returned to Queen Latifah. Investigators said the larceny seems to be an inside job and efforts are being made round the clock to make a breakthrough,” acting Police Commissioner James Philbert told the paper. (more…)

Queen Latifah says she doesn’t care what people think about her sexuality. “I don’t have a problem discussing the topic of somebody being gay, but I do have a problem discussing my personal life,” Latifah, 38, told Sunday’s New York Times magazine. “You don’t get that part of me. Sorry,” she added. “We’re not discussing it in our meetings, we’re not discussing it at Cover Girl…nobody gets that.” Last year, Latifah was linked to her longtime friend and personal trainer, Jeanette Jenkins. Rumors even suggested that the two were thinking about getting married… “I don’t feel like I need to share my personal life, and I don’t care if people think I’m gay or not,” she said. “Assume whatever you want. Singer Queen Latifah considered naming her upcoming album “The L Word”, just like the Showtime tv series about Lesbian friends. Latifah says she wanted to mess with everyone’s heads since they all think she is a Lesbian. She tells RollingStone.com, “Since people want to play games, I like to jab back sometimes just for fun, but I’m like, ‘Nah, that’s too much energy wasted.’ The as-yet-unnamed LP is set for release in December of ‘08.
