Queen Latifah got a suprise when she was served with a lawsuit from her makeup artist and fashion stylist. They both claim that Latifah owes them some BIG MONEY. According to AP, Celebrity cosmetology consultant Roxanna Floyd says she is due $700,000 for work she did in 2005 and 2008. Damn how much these folks get paid? In a seperate lawsuit, Susan Moses, a celeb stylist says she never got her payment of $300,000 for work done around the same time. Both lawsuits were filed with a Manhattan Federal Court.

Queen Latifah’s spokesperson says the lawsuits are bogus and have no merit. We’ll keep you posted on the developments.

The People’s Choice Award went down on Wednesday. The CBS ceremony was hosted by Queen Latifah who was looking absolutely stunning in her gowns. The event took place at the Shrine Auditorium. “The Dark Knight” soared away with every trophy it was nominated for Wednesday at the 35th annual fan-favorite CBS ceremony.

The Queen didn’t start the New Year off to a good start! Queen Latifah, real name Dana Owens, was a victim of a robbery. We hear that thieves stole more than $10,000.00 worth of her jewelry from her luxury villa in Tobago, an island resort in the Caribbean, according to the local paper, Trinidad and Tobago’s Newsday. MSNBC says that two gold rings, a gold chain and a silver ring were allegedly taken from singer’s $1,000-a-night villa. Police say they believe that staff of the luxury resort stole her stuff.

“Several searches are being carried out and the police are trying to have the jewelry returned to Queen Latifah. Investigators said the larceny seems to be an inside job and efforts are being made round the clock to make a breakthrough,” acting Police Commissioner James Philbert told the paper.

According to the paper, the singer said the missing jewelry held sentimental value to her and she is willing to offer a reward for its return.

Queen Latifah says she doesn’t care what people think about her sexuality. “I don’t have a problem discussing the topic of somebody being gay, but I do have a problem discussing my personal life,” Latifah, 38, told Sunday’s New York Times magazine. “You don’t get that part of me. Sorry,” she added. “We’re not discussing it in our meetings, we’re not discussing it at Cover Girl…nobody gets that.” Last year, Latifah was linked to her longtime friend and personal trainer, Jeanette Jenkins. Rumors even suggested that the two were thinking about getting married… “I don’t feel like I need to share my personal life, and I don’t care if people think I’m gay or not,” she said. “Assume whatever you want. You do it anyway.”

“People will make up all sorts of things that are not true,” she told the Chicago Sun-Times. “There ain’t gonna’ be no wedding.”

Singer Queen Latifah considered naming her upcoming album “The L Word”, just like the Showtime tv series about Lesbian friends. Latifah says she wanted to mess with everyone’s heads since they all think she is a Lesbian. She tells RollingStone.com, “Since people want to play games, I like to jab back sometimes just for fun, but I’m like, ‘Nah, that’s too much energy wasted.’ The as-yet-unnamed LP is set for release in December of ‘08.

Hip-Hop stars Queen Latifah and Nelly have partnered with AT&T to record “xclusive” songs to boost the morale of U.S. Olympic Team athletes competing in Beijing, China. Queen Latifah recorded the exclusive track “Champion,” while Nelly recorded the song “Warrior (Team USA Edition).” The tracks are available for download online via iTunes and directly from AT&T handsets through AT&T’s Media Mall.

Queen Latifah is set to launch a new line of perfume scheduled to hit stores in 2009. The award winning actress and Cover Girl spokesperson has partnered with Fort Lauderdale, Florida -based Parlux Fragrances, which has produced scents for Paris Hilton, GUESS? and Jessica Simpson. The name of the perfume is unknown at this time. Officials from Parlux could not be reached for comment.

Queen Latifah is the newest spokesperson for Jenny Craig, reports People.com.  “We officially confirm that Queen Latifah will join the Jenny Craig program in January,” Scott Parker, Jenny Craig’s vice president of marketing, tells People. “We are thrilled to have Queen Latifah support our mission of improving health by taking her first step toward achieving a more healthful lifestyle.” The voluptuous 37 year old artist is excited about her role with Jenny Craig which will focus on a healthier lifestyle as opposed to getting into a specific dress size.

Kendra G. of Chicago’s Power 92 FM said Queen Latifah told her directly that the rumors that she planned to announce an engagement to her personal trainer/girlfriend were bogus. Latifah reportedly said: “Oh my goodness you guys actually believe that. You can’t believe everything you read…there will be no major announcement made. The only major announcement I have to make is “Merry Christmas.” Chicago Sun-Times recently asked Latifah about the rumors, and Latifah said “When you’re famous these days, it’s just part of the deal — unfortunately,” she told the newspaper in denying the claims. “People will make up all sorts of things that are not true. There ain’t gonna be no wedding.”

Although, Queen Latifah has denied being gay….rumors are saying that Queen Latifah is planning a PUBLIC WEDDING with a woman named Jeanette (her trainer, I think…) whom she’s been with for four years. Supposedly, Queen Latifah will come out and announce her engagement when she’s done promoting her new movie, “The Perfect Holiday”.

When asked about the rumors, she said:

“My private life is my private life. Whomever I might be with, I don’t feel the need to share it. I don’t think I ever will.”

When asked about the stories swirling on the Internet and elsewhere that claim she is romantically involved with a
female fitness trainer, Latifah immediately says:

“No comment on that at all. I’m done commenting on all that … It’s ridiculous, I know me and that’s all I need to know. And if the readers don’t know me, then that;s one part they aren’t going to get to know. Those are my people but they don’t sleep with me,” she says in a very even tone that is very consistent with her relaxed mood. “It feels so invasive. It’s the one thing I don’t think people need to know about.”
