Despite both Venus and Serena Williams previous loss, they are still unstoppable together. This past weekend the sisters faced Anabel Medina Garrigues and Virginia Ruano Pascual of Spain and successfully won, 6-2, 6-0.

For the second time in two tries, Venus and Serena won the doubles gold. They did the same thing eight years ago in Sydney. And they did it in similar fashion Sunday.

Venus and Serena Williams steamrolled over their opponents at Wimbledon this week to reach Saturday’s final round together for the first time in five years. Venus Williams defeats her sister Serena in Wimbledon final…The older sibling, with a 7-5, 6-4 victory, now has five women’s singles titles in her last nine visits to the All England Club. Serenea took the loss pretty hard.

Serena Williams xposes all her “assets” on the cover of Ebony Magazine’s July issue. In the cover story, Serena talks about how she feels about hip hop artist/actor Common. As previously reported, it has been revealed that the two have been dating for quite some time.

I don’t know what to believe, but rumor still has it that Serena Williams and Common are dating. The couple was spotted in Miami Beach all boo’ed up…People Magazine even had something to say about it:

“The new couple were spotted Saturday night holding hands at a Knight’s Head Microbrew party at the South Beach haunt Mokai. Later in the evening, Williams, 26, and Common, 36, were once again spotted holding hands, trying to get into Prive nightclub – but failed since Common (wearing shorts) violated the hot spot’s dress policy.”

Serena Williams successfully defended her title at the WTA Sony Ericsson Open in Miami. She beat Jelena Jankovic at Saturday’s final. This is Serena’s second title of the season and the 30th of her career.

Serena Williams remains champion of the Austrialian Open with a win against Australian Jarmila Gajdosova which will advance her to the second round. Despite the impressive win, Serena says she is still nursing a personal heartbreak after her boyfriend broke up with her.

Serena, who is 26-years-old posted a message on her blog stating she put her trust and faith in a boyfriend and got dumped:

       “Trust is something you vowed you would never do again, but slowly your heart comes out of its steel enclosure,” she wrote in the entry posted on her Web site www.serenawilliams.com Monday. “You feel like you can trust him, you feel as if everything you went through was for a reason, and the reason was to meet him.”      (more…)

RUMOR HAS IT that tennis superstar Serena Williams is expecting a BABY! Is there something in the AIR! Well, word around the U.S. Open is that Serena’s father is telling everybody that he is expecting a grandchild. Supposedly, Serena’s boyfriend Jackie Long has been telling industry folks that he has a baby on the way too! This HAS NOT been confirmed, but we will keep you apprised!

For the third straight Grand Slam quarterfinal, Justine Henin proved to be the 5-foot-5 obstacle Serena Williams could not get past. No. 1 Henin broke up a possible Williams sister semifinal at the U.S. Open Tuesday night, breaking Serena’s serve three times for her first win ever against her rival on hard courts, 7-6(3) 6-1. “I’ve got to go back and study and figure out how to beat her,” Serena said. “I thought I was going to be able to recover. It just didn’t happen.”
