This is really random. Snoop Dogg went to the Nation of Islam’s annual Saviours Day convention in Chicago this past weekend. The West Coast rap star donated a $1,000 for the movement and words of praise for its leader, Minister Louis Farrakhan. Did he join the Nation of Islam? Snoop said that he will always seek advise from the Minister and will share it with his friends in the music industry.

“When you get a speech from Minister Farrakhan it’s about a mirror, it’s about looking at yourself,” the rapper later told The Associated Press. “It’s about seeing yourself and what you can do to better the situation … We’re doing a lot of wrongs among ourselves that need correcting.”      

AP asked Snoop if was planning on converting to the Chicago based Nation of Islam and his response was “I’m already in the Nation, that’s why I’m here”. WOW! More pics… (more…)

Paris Hilton who’s bday is today reestyles with Snoop Dogg in a clip that will appear on the rapper’s Dogg After Dark variety show, premiering tonight on MTV. Do you think she got skills? LOL

Snoop Dogg confirmed that he has left his record label, Interscope, who he has been with for the past 10 years. Snoop declined to give specific details on the reason for the split. “We are pushing the envelope on getting everything finalized,” Snoop told AllHipHop.com exclusively. “But I will not be releasing anymore projects under Interscope/Geffen.” He would not even give details as to his next possible label home. Snoop Dogg is selling his “pad” on Ebay…Is it because things are getting financially bad for Snoop! NOWAY! Snoop is selling the Dogg House to help raise money for the SYFL Snoop’s Youth Football League, MTV reports. Snoop is sad about it though. “I’ve had this shed since the turn of the century. I’ve beaten over 1,000 people in Madden in it, watched football game tapes, seen the Lakers win championships, and, most of all, written hits in it,” he says. (more…)

Martha Stewart has had many hip hop talents on her talk show. From LL Cool J, Snoop, and even Diddy, all have invited to her show to trade household tips. OK Magazine caught up with Stewart at a party to celebrate the dedication of the Robert F. Kennedy bridge in New York. They asked her about her “thing” for rappers. “I like these guys,” Martha Stewart said. “I like their music, I like their expression and they’re fun. They’re actually good guests. Snoop Dogg will return to E! with his reality series “Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood”. The show focuses on Snoop and his wife’s every day life with their kids daughter, Cori, and his two sons Cordell and Corde. The final episode last season ended with Snoop and his wife renewing their vows, a surprise that was put together by Snoop. Season 2 of “Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood” premieres Sunday, November 30, at 10:30p EST on E!

It has been reported that DUI charges against Snoop Dogg’s wife Shante were dropped earlier this week due to lack of evidence. Snoop’s wife aka Boss Lady was arrested last month in Fullerton, California on suspicion of driving under the influence of marijuana, but the Orange County District Attorney dismissed the case because there wasn’t enough evidence to prove that her driving was impaired.
