I think Spike Lee is one of the best movie directors of all time. His latest film which comes out on tomorrow is “Miracle at St. Anna”. This film will be definitely be talked about as one of the greatest films this fall. The movie puts blacks at the front and center during World War II which has nevr been done before. Blacks are always in the background of war films.

‘Miracle at St. Anna’, which comes out on Sept. 26, chronicles the story of four black American soldiers (Derek Luke, Michael Ealy, Laz Alonso, and Omar Benson Miller) who are members of the US Army as part of the all-black 92nd “Buffalo Soldier” Division stationed in Tuscany, Italy during World War II. My baby Michael Ealy is in the film! They experience the tragedy and triumph of the war as they find themselves trapped behind enemy lines and separated from their unit after one of them risks his life to save an Italian boy. (more…)

Kobe Bryant is taking his game from the court to the big screen! The NBA Star has plans to star in a Spike Lee documentary. Lee will be filming Kobe for an upcoming ESPN Films project which began shooting earlier this week documenting a day-in-the-life of an NBA star. Lee said that we can expect the film to air on ESPN or ABC sometime next year. (more…)
