In an interview posted on Youtube yesterday, Al Reynolds said he still has feelings for his soon-to-be-ex-wife Star Jones. “I was approached by a number of media outlets to do interviews, and most of them wanted me to trash my wife,” Reynolds told the AP during a telephone interview Monday. “I wasn’t interested in participating in the sensationalism.” Therefore, he decided to film his own interview last month at the home of his publicist, Howard Bragman.

WOW…Peep this. Al Reynolds is shopping for a deal to get a news outlet to pay him A LOT of money for the rights to his first interview on his failed marriage to Star Jones! “He has got to make a buck somehow,” one television producer told the paper’s Full Disclosure column. “He’s been looking for a six-figure deal for an interview where he dishes about being married to Star.” Reports reveal that some television shows are very interested in featuring Reynolds “but only if he is really willing to part with some dirt. No one wants to pay for it, though.” We will keep you posted with the developments. This is going to get interesting!

Al Reynolds is really annoyed! He continues to remain tight lipped relative to the reason he and soon- o-be ex -wife, Star Jones, split, however, he had a lot to say about the recent media reports about him enjoying the “single life”. In a new post on his Myspace page, Al said “If you think you are having a tough day, may I propose you walk in my shoes for a few hours,” “In my mind, it feels like ‘Dump on Al Month.’ And I’m not having fun yet. I have been called a gigolo, a freeloader, unemployed, a sham and many other things that don’t bear repeating. People on television, radio and the internet have spoken disparagingly of my life, my sexuality, my career and my integrity.” The Florida Memorial University professor revealed that a few people truly know him, and now they may have some misconceptions from news reporting of his recent club-hopping. “I indeed work very hard as a professor, business owner, doctoral student and author. I play hard too,” he says. “I make no apologies for that. A guy is entitled to a little fun, after all.”  “As much as I want to defend myself, it seems like a silly and futile exercise,” he writes. “It’s clear that the media doesn’t want to let the truth get in the way of a good story. I hate to ruin their fun. I take great comfort in the fact that my loved ones and those people who really know me continue to love and respect me.” (more…)

According to the New York Daily News, another source who is close to Star Jones and soon-to-be ex-hubby Al Reynolds said the reason why they are getting a divorce is because Star was the bread winner. The New York Daily News gossip pages “xposed” the following:

‘The beginning of the end was reportedly last summer in Saint-Tropez, where the couple loudly fought on the beach over Star being Al’s sugar mama. One friend recounted an incident where Al refused to pay for beach chairs, demanding that Star fork over the cash.  “She paid for everything. He never even took out his wallet,” the pal snitched.  For the past year, the pair have been living separately, because of Al’s job as a professor of social science at Florida Memorial University in Miami Gardens.’ (more…)

Star Jones has confirmed that she is divorcing her husband Al Reynolds. After three and a half years of marriage, the two will call it quits for good. The former star of ABC’s The View filed for divore in New York Supreme Court in Manhattan on March 26th.

Rumor has it that Star Jones has filed divorce papers and is ready to call it quits with husband of three years, Al Reynolds. A rep for Jones says the report is false, but tabloids and industry insiders say otherwise. “They hadn’t been seeing eye to eye for months and had already spent a great deal of time apart,” a friend of the couple told the Enquirer. “Finally, Star decided it was over. She told Al at the end of January that he had 30 days to get his act together or get out.” (more…)
