The AP reports that Toni Braxton had a good reason for not dancing on the finale of “Dancing With the Stars” last month: The 41-year-old singer says she had a benign tumor removed from her breast the week before.

“We have family history. My grandmother on my dad’s side died of breast cancer, and I have aunts on both sides that have breast cancer”, she says. “I was worried about what they would find,” the 41-year-old Grammy winner says. “But it was benign.” (more…)

Finally…The Dancing with the Stars cast has been officially announced today. We previously leaked the speculated cast list, but this one is official. The diverse lineup includes soap star Susan Lucci, recent Beijing Olympics gold medal winner Misty May-Treanor, Kim Kardashian and former ‘N Sync star Lance Bass. The cast also has the oldest-ever competitor, actress Cloris Leachman, 82, and the youngest-ever competitor with Hannah Montana actor Cody Linley, 18. Also included in this season’s cast is former NFL star, Warren Sapp, and singer Toni Braxton!

Here’s the rundown of celebrity contestants and their professional dance partners ready to mambo for the mirror-ball trophy:

• Toni Braxton, singer, 40, and season one DWTS champ Alec Mazo
• Lance Bass, singer, 29, and Lacey Schwimmer
• Ted McGinley, actor, 50, and Inna Brayer

Toni Braxton’s return to the Las Vegas stage has been delayed again. She’ll remain sidelined from her headlining show for at least another month. The singer’s representatives still won’t comment on her medical condition.

Toni Braxton has cancelled her show at the Flamingo Las Vagas throughout the month of April due to her undisclosed illness. As previously reported, Braxton was rushed to the hospital on April 7 with severe chest pain. She was released the following day, however her show was cancelled the rest of the week. (more…)

Toni Braxton was admitted to St. Rose Dominican Hospital late last night. The Las Vegas headliner supposedly suffered chest pains after her Monday night performance at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino. One source close to Braxton said that the singer suffers from pericarditis, a rare heart condition, and is doing fine. We hear that the singer has been released from the hospital and is doing fine. Upcoming shows this week are said to be on as scheduled.
