Okay, check this out. G-unit member, Tony Yayo, may be playing the role of legendary KRS-ONE in a new movie about the iconic Juice Crew and the birth of hip hop. Wait? First off, Tony Yayo doesn’t even have a “nose” like KRS, but I guess they can give him a prosthetic one…I know Miss Xpose is being mean today…Well the movie sounds exciting and Yayo is clearly happy to be considered for the role.  “I’m going to play KRS-One… That’s 50’s favorite rapper… They’re trying to do it right now.”, Yayo said. Akeelah & The Bee star Keke Palmer has already signed up for the role of Roxanne Shante in the film, while Evan Ross will portray MC Shan. No date has been set for the release of the movie…

Tony Yayo is a Free man! Criminal charges against the rapper were dismissed today (February 14). As you may recall, in March  2007, Yayo was accused of hitting the son of music executive Jimmy “Henchmen” Rosemond. Yayo’s attorney Scott Leemon said Yayo agreed to the plea of guilty to avoid a trial and labeled the violation a “glorified traffic ticket” that will not effect the rapper’s criminal record. He also mentioned that the court proceedings should have ended months ago, when the Court learned an associate of Yayo’s named Lowell Fletcher admitted to the assault after his arrest in March of 2007. “The Hip-Hop police buried this helpful information and the charges against Tony Yayo proceeded until today. Without a doubt, today’s proceedings have validated Mr. Bernard’s claims that he was falsely accused.”

Tony Yayo will begin his trial on charges of harassment and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with his alleged assault of the 14 year-old son of Jimmy “Henchmen” Rosemond on January 10.  MTV News reports that  Yayo’s lawyer, Scott Leemon, says his client’s case has been combined with that of Lowell “Lodi Mack” Fletcher, who was also present during the alleged incident. Fletcher, who was recently arrested on drug charges in Far Rockaway Queens, is a self proclaimed member of G-Unit, although Leemon refused to discuss his exact connection to Yayo. According to the New York Daily News, Henchmen’s son will be required to testify at the trial.

We heard that G-Unit member Tony Yayo kicked Jack-Ass star Steve O’s butt in Vegas last Saturday. According to the rumors, Yayo and crew were partying at the Hard Rock hotel and Steve kept on poking fun at Yayo. Yayo had enough and totally lost it! Him and his crew members supposedly whooped Steve O’s behind!

Yayo, whose real name is Marvin Bernard, was charged in March with assault, harassment and endangering the welfare of a child, all misdemeanours. He was accused of hitting James Rosemond, the son of Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond, recording executive and manager of a rival rapper, The Game. The boy accused Yayo of hitting him with his hand, “causing (his) face to strike the door of a building,” which caused him “to have a headache, an earache, and caused substantial pain to (his) face,” according to a misdemeanor court complaint.

Yayo, 29, has pleaded not guilty and is free on $5,000 bail. He has “adamantly rejected” prosecutors’ offer of nine months in jail for a guilty plea. “The witness clearly vindicates my client,” Leemon said outside court.

The judge, told that detectives had not interviewed Leemon’s witness, suggested that prosecutors speak to the person as soon as practicable. The judge estimated the case would go to trial in December.
