We always hear about rap battles and rappers dissing each other, but this time around a new stand-up comic beef is brewing. Katt Williams and Steve Harvey are going at it and we hear they will settle their beef in a head to head battle on New Year’s Eve in Detroit. The beef really started because Jamie Foxx instigated the whole thing on his Sirius Radio show “Foxxhole” on December 19th. Foxx played a clip of Katt Wiliams saying this about Steve Harvey:

First, Foxx plays a clip of Williams dissing Harvey. “I wanna apologize for what’s gonna happen,” Williams said of the joint comedy gig. “But the second that you get on stage, I need you to understand that that’s your final time as the ‘King of Comedy.’ Water seeks its own level, you can’t stop it playboy. It is what it is, so I hope you’re ready. I hope you got a team of writers. You gonna need about six or seven of ‘em….”

Steve Harvey then calls into the radio station and says that he is just blown by Katt Williams words:

“I’ve always been cool with Katt. He said in an interview that back in LA, I didn’t know who he was,” Harvey told Foxx and crew. “I mean understand, I didn’t know who he was when I was on the radio in LA. He hadn’t been in any movies or anything, and the brother was just not that known. He was talking about me in the clubs, and I just asked on the radio, whoever Katt Williams is, to call me. He called me, we straightened it out. We became friends. We’ve been cool ever since, so I thought.”

Lil Wayne will join CNN to bring in the New Year! I kid you not! CNN booked Lil Wayne for CNN’s holiday extravaganza. Hosted by anchor Anderson Cooper and comedian Kathy Griffin, the live event will air on the news network at 11 p.m. EST on December 31st. Go Ahead Weezy!

50 Cen’t reality show on MTV “The Money and the Power” has been cancelled after roughly one month on the air. LOL! The show debuted on November 6th, but will be cancelled due to disappointing ratings says MTV. The show was wack! Don’t you agree? I couldn’t even get through the first episode without flipping the channel.

Rihanna is really doing the damn thang…I announced last week that Rihanna will be performing at the Inauguration for President-elect Barack Obama. Now we hear that she will join Enrique Iglesias, Fall Out Boy and Lifehouse for the National Football League’s Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash at Tampa, Florida’s Ford Amphitheatre. The Super Bowl Bash will air live on VH1 Thursday, January 29th, at 9 pm. Jerry O’Connell will host the star-studded concert.

Robert Curry’s  (Day 26)  Girlfriend/Fiance (don’t know if they are still together) came out with a Tell All Book entitled “The Girls Love the Boys in the Band”. June Pettiford aka “June Bug” documents her love for Robert and some other insider details about Day 26 in her self-published book.  My girl from Talk Dat Ish Radio says it’s selling on Amazon.com…and according to June Bug’s Myspace Page she is begging everyone to buy it!

America’s Next Top Model Winner, Eva Marcille (aka Eva Pigford) is engaged now! Her boyfriend of two years, House of Payne actor, Lance Gross proposed to her on Christmas Eve. How Sweet. No date has been set yet for the nuptials.

In a recent interview with Clutch Magazine, Lance Gross says this about Eva:

We’ve been together a little over a year and a half. We’re pretty serious; we live together. She’s great. She’s supporting me in my dreams and I support her in hers. We really mesh. We’re like in our own little bubble, in La La Land. Yeah, that’s my baby.

Awwwww! Too sweet. Congrats!

Although dozens of inaugural balls will be held next month to celebrate the election of Barack Obama, only 10 will actually be attended by the couple. In an official statement, The Presidential Inaugural Committee said today that the Obamas would attend 10 official balls. The Committee didn’t respond to a few questions that we all have…What will Michelle and our President-elect be wearing? I guess we will just have to wait and see.
Six of the official balls will be held at the Washington Convention Center, with others at Union Station, the Washington Hilton, the National Building Museum and the DC Armory. The really big parties will be the unofficial ones however. Read the rest of this entry »

The LA Lakers vs. Boston Celtics game at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, CA on Christmas Day was definitely a star studded event. Even Prince showed up with his beautiful new girlfriend! Yes Prince was there…enjoying himself! So my lil brother and I were having a conversation on Xmas day about Prince pulling in some “bad” gorgeous chicks. My brother asked me, how does Prince do it because he looks gay? My response…he is PRINCE! And candidly, I think he is a good looking man! What do you think ladies/fellas? Am I right?

A couple weeks ago, we told you that Lil Wayne leaked a dissed record aimed at 50 Cent entitled “Louisianimal”. “All about a dollar, f–k Two Quarters. Bitch, I’ll pour syrup in that vitamin water I hope you die ugly, and tonight will be gorgeous”, Lil Wayne rapped in the song. Well, we haven’t really heard any fighting words in response to the record from 50 Cent. During a recent interview on GUnit Video, 50 Cent weighs in on the Lil Wayne fued.

Are we sick of Diddy yet? So we hear that Diddy has offered the City of New York One Million Dollars to redesign Time Square’s New Year’s Eve ball to look like the emblem of Ciroc Vodka! Diddy and the Ciroc Brand said the $1 Million donation to the City of New York will go towards charities in the city.

Congrats to the Miami Dolphins who are not the AFC East Champs! Miami won the AFC East with an 11-5 record! The Dolphins are making their first playoff appearance since 2001. They really made an astonishing turnaround from last season’s 1-15 record. Go Phins! “It’s always a sweet feeling to be a champion,” the Dolphins quarterback said after beating the New York Jets 24-17 on Sunday. “That’s what we are: AFC East champions. It’s a great feeling. This organization has been unbelievable. They accepted me from the get-go. This has been an unbelievable ride.”

A year after Patriots perfection, New England will be sitting out the playoffs. Sorry guys!

Eartha Kitt died this past weekend at the age of 81 from colon cancer. She was a sultry singer, actress, and dancer from South Carolina who became famous for her self-proclaimed “sex kitten” catlike purr and for being America’s most versatile performers, winning two Emmys and nabbing a third nomination. She also was nominated for several Tonys and two Grammys. She will be missed!

Sad news over the holidays. Reports from Baton Rouge, Louisiana revealed that an unfortunate acciden killed a 2-year-old child at the home of rap star Lil Boosie. The tragic accident occurred Tuesday afternoon when a man (a friend of Boosie) accidentally ran his car over his own daughter.

South Central Los Angeles-based quintet, Brutha, composed of the Harrell brothers, Anthony, Jared, Jacob, Cheyenne, and Grady is poised and ready to steal the R&B spotlight. Their CD entitled “Brutha” came out yesterday! Their BET reality show “Brothers To Brutha,” has become one of the highest rated new shows on the network since its premiere on November 18th.

This group signed to Island Def Jam/Goodfellas Entertainment drawing their inspiration from the Jackson 5, New Edition and Boyz II Men.

The CD is pretty straight. Of course one of my favorite songs on the CD is “She’s Gone”! Check out Brutha singing the song Accapella!

T-Pain is working with just about everyone in the music industry even country singers. Country superstar, Tim McGraw, wants to work with T-Pain. Will he be using Autotune? McGraw obviously has the love for hip hop as he collaborated with Nelly four years ago on the hit “Over and Over”. McGraw also recorded a new single entitled “Human” for Chris Brown’s upcoming LP. Now T-Pain has revealed that he will be going to the studio with McGraw rather soon. Barry Fletcher, the 52-year-old owner of The Hair Palace Salon in Mitchellville, Md. said “I’m going to be doing her hair”…Confidant huh! “This would pretty much validate all of my hard work and effort to get to a level where I could handle a powerful queen like the First Lady,” added Fletcher, who sent Michelle Obama a 17-minute DVD about himself.

Well Fletcher has some competition! Hairdresser Keith Harley of Keith Harley Hair & Scalp Clinic in Arlington, Va. uploaded his resume to President-elect Barack Obama’s Web site a month ago.”It would be the highlight of my career. Dang! Things ain’t lookin’ to good for Chingy! The St. Louis rapper supposedly was dropped from DTP (Disturbing Tha Peace)/Def Jam Records! I heard the rumor awhile ago, but it became official when Chingy’s name was no longer listed on Def Jam’s Official website.

As you may recall, Chingy left DTP in 2004 after he claimed his money was a lil funny and was being mismanaged. Then he released two album entitled “Powerballin” and “Hoodstar” under Capitol Records and both album went double PLASTIC!

Chingy wanted to revive his career, and knew he need Ludacris and the DTP family to make that happen. So in 2007 he released Hate It or Love It and it still suffered low sales.
Ummm…should Chingy give up his rap career…Is it a rap for Chingy?
