Okay, well we hear there is a mini beef going on between Drake and rapper Kia Shine. Kia Shine has xposed that Drake’s mega hit “Best I Ever Had” was co-written by him. Shine gives a breakdown on how the record got to Drake, check it out:

“Basically I did a record for Lil Wayne called ‘Do It For The Boy’, which was on The Leak mixtape back in October,” he wrote. “My dude DJ [Absolut] & Enuff was spinning the joint in NY. I gave Wayne the joint back in March of ‘08 and I had yet to hear the completed version until Absolute hit me. Actually, he was in the office with my man Daralle Jones at Atlantic. He wanted buy the song from me to use for Jahiem. I tried to contact Young Money to get paid for the original track before I made a move, but couldn’t get anyone to hit me back. Check out the behind-the-scenes action on the set of Drake’s new video for his second hit single “Successful” featuring Trey Songz. Hopefully this video will be much better than the garbage Kanye West directed for his first single “The Best I Ever Had”. SMH!

Just after I purchased my front rowe tickets to the America’s Most Wanted Music Festival, I hear that Drake collapsed on stage during his performance in Camden, NJ over the weekend. WTH! The Canadian hip-hop newcomer had to pull out of his 30 minute set after he re-injured his ACL while performing. Doctors have advised Drake to not continue on tour, but Drake said he will return to the stage after his surgery. In a post on his Twitter.com page Saturday, Drake writes, “All is well… on the bus laying down… getting surgery this week, but I’m walking.”

Drake stays “Strapped”? UMMM…OK? LOL

BET has released a statement after getting backlash over the Young Money performance at the BET Awards. “BET Networks deeply regrets the performance by Young Money at the BET AWARDS ’09 (featuring Lil Wayne, Drake, Gudda Gudda and Mack Maine),” a BET representative told sources. “Elements of the performance were unplanned and should not have happened.”

Well, in related news, Drake recently did an inteview with Complex Magazine wherein he discussed the BET fiasco which consisted of pre-teens being on stage during “Every Girl” performance, him performing with a hurt ACL, and his alleged $4 Million Dollar deal with Young Money. As previously reported, Drake inked a major record deal and is set to release his video for BEST I EVER HAD really soon. The song continues to climb the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. The video was shot by Kanye West, who hand-picked model Shakur to be Drake’s leading lady. Shakur spoke to XXL Mag about the experience.

“Kanye had call me,” Shakur told XXL. “And he told me he was about to shoot the video for ‘Best I Ever Had.’ I was like, ‘That’s cool.’ He was telling me about the treatment, I was like, ‘that’s real dope.’ He said, ‘Yeah, as a matter of fact, you’d be real dope for it.’ I said, ‘Oh yeah, that’s what’s up.’ Cause you know I’m an aspiring actress, I’ve been studying theatrics under a private coach and I’m also an artist, so he was like, “Yeah, it’d be a good look for you.” —–UMMMMM PAUSE…this is the worst INTERVIEW EVER!
