Drake is pissed off at fake promoters who claim to be his personal booking agent or manager for financial gain. AHH reports that the latest string of fake bookings were concentrated in the south. These fakers have misrepresented themselves as Drake’s manager in order to secure and then pocket deposits for the phony shows. “It has been brought to my attention that false promoters and booking agents are illegally using my name and likeness to promote concerts and club appearances for their own financial gain,” Drake told AllHipHop.com in a statement today (February 18). Okay, well we hear there is a mini beef going on between Drake and rapper Kia Shine. Kia Shine has xposed that Drake’s mega hit “Best I Ever Had” was co-written by him. Shine gives a breakdown on how the record got to Drake, check it out:

“Basically I did a record for Lil Wayne called ‘Do It For The Boy’, which was on The Leak mixtape back in October,” he wrote. “My dude DJ [Absolut] & Enuff was spinning the joint in NY. I gave Wayne the joint back in March of ‘08 and I had yet to hear the completed version until Absolute hit me. Actually, he was in the office with my man Daralle Jones at Atlantic. He wanted buy the song from me to use for Jahiem. I tried to contact Young Money to get paid for the original track before I made a move, but couldn’t get anyone to hit me back. Just after I purchased my front rowe tickets to the America’s Most Wanted Music Festival, I hear that Drake collapsed on stage during his performance in Camden, NJ over the weekend. WTH! The Canadian hip-hop newcomer had to pull out of his 30 minute set after he re-injured his ACL while performing. Doctors have advised Drake to not continue on tour, but Drake said he will return to the stage after his surgery. In a post on his Twitter.com page Saturday, Drake writes, “All is well… on the bus laying down… getting surgery this week, but I’m walking.”
