Jazmine Sullivan is giving you some fire back to back. Check out her new video for her fourth single “Dream Big” produced by Missy Elliott. The video was directed by Syndrome, who also directed the video for “Lions, Tiger, & Bears”.

According to Billboard.com, Grammy nominee Jazmine Sullivan is now preparing for her first major film, “Red Tails,” where she will play a jazz singer who performs for soldiers in the Tuskegee Airmen story. Director Anthony Hemingway will shoot the film in Prague and has also tapped singer Ne-Yo to join the cast. Sullivan is definitely an overnight success!

WOW! Lil Wayne did it big in the ‘08. The rapper has eight GRAMMY nominations topping the list of all artists. Jay-z and Kanye West have six nods, and Dangermouse(?), T.I. and Lupe Fiasco both have four nominations. Lil Wayne’s album, Carter III, which was the top selling album of 2008 selling a million units in its first week out, is nominated for the ALBUM OF THE YEAR award. The competition is between Ne-yo, Robert Plant, Coldplay (love em’), Radiohead, and Allison Krause.

Jazmine’s debut album Fearless released yesterday. As an Executive Producer and sole songwriter on Fearless, Sullivan (along with her mother, Missy Elliott, Salaam Remi and Peter Edge) has orchestrated a debut full of lush musical arrangements by Elliott, Remi, Stargate, Jack Splash, and Fisticuffs. Sullivan, who is also the protegee of famous rapper Missy Elliott. Her debut single “Need U Bad” featuring Missy Elliott has reached number one on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

R&B artist Maxwell first caught fans’ attention with the his hit single “Ascension (Don’t Ever Wonder)” off of his 1996 debut album Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite. He followed up with 1998’s Embrya and 2001’s Now, which both went platinum, but fans have had to wait seven long years for his next release. He is recording material for a three-part follow-up, titled Black Summers’ Night. The wait is finally over, with 2008’s Black, the first in a trilogy of albums, to be followed by Summers in 2009 and Night in 2010. Now you can see this highly acclaimed artist as he tours to support his new album. We hear Jazmine Sullivan will be on tour with him.
