Despite making public appearances together in the past month, rapper Nas’ divorce from his estranged wife R&B singer Kelis continues on. According to TMZ, Nas lawyer filed court papers yesterday seeking to block Kelis’ request for $72,728 a month in spousal support. (more…)

Honey, Kelis is relentless. The singer has requested additional spousal support from her estranged husband Nas. Kelis’ has asked her lawyers to submit a list of items that she should be awarded including back dhild and spousal support.
According to TMZ, her lawyer Laura Wasser filed documents requesting that the rap star pay $281,571 in retroactive spousal support and $29,522 in retroactive child support. The lawyer says since Nas makes over $244,000 per month, Wasser believes Kelis is entitled to $72,728 in spousal support and in the future, $17,225 a month in child support. WOW WOW WOW! (more…)
NAS SAYS “I DESERVE A TROPHY FOR BEING A GOOD HUSBAND”!

In a recent interview, Nas has a whole different point of view regarding his divorce to his longtime wifey Kelis. Nas said he deserved a trophy for being a good husband and a dad. Check out the interview here:
“I heard that I was a cheater,” says Nas, who takes on a more determined tone when discussing the matter. “It almost sounds like I was a bad husband. Not to say I was the greatest—I’m not perfect in anything I do—but I think I deserve a fucking trophy. If I do say so myself, without sounding too cocky, I gotta say I was a hell of a husband and a hell of a dad.” On July 22, Kelis gave birth to the couple’s first child together, a boy named Knight Jones, after 67 hours of labour that she called “three of the longest, most painful days” of her life. TMZ reported that Nas waited outside during the delivery and saw the baby shortly after, despite being turned away from the hospital the night before for being drunk. (more…)

So now I know why Kelis was leaving subliminal twitter messages about Nas cheating on her. Well, the scoop is Nas got one of his lil “groupies” preggers. Not sure how credible this source is, but I’m just letting y’all know what I heard. As previously reported, Nas will be shelling out approximately $50,000.00 a month in spousal and child support for his son, Knight, with soon-2-b-ex-wife Kelis. WOW!

TMZ has confirmed that a judge ordered Nas to pay Kelis $55,000 a month (combined spousal and child support(44k) ) — plus the mortgage on their L.A. residence. The rapper also has to pay $35,000 to Kelis’ lawyer. Nas’ financial records revealed that he makes over $100,000.00 a month. My question is, what has Nas done lately to be banking that kind of money? NAS WAS TOO DRUNK TO WITNESS THE BIRTH OF HIS SON!

So we found out the scoop on why Nas wasn’t allowed to witness the birth of his baby boy, Knight Jones. Well, Nas was performing at a New York location that day and was REALLY DRUNK when he got the call that Kelis was in about to deliver. When he got to the hospital, the doctors requested that Nas not be present in the delivery room due to his intoxication. SMH! Hot mess!

KELIS NAMES HER BABY AND TWEETS ABOUT LABOR EXPERIENCE!

Kelis and Nas’ named their newborn baby boy Knight Jones. CUTE! In an official statement Kelis’ reps said:
“Kelis gave birth to Knight Jones last night on July 22nd around 9PM. Weighing a healthy 7.8lbs, the beautiful baby boy and his mother are doing wonderful. This was a natural birth and Kelis had been in labor since early Monday morning around 2AM. Knight was delivered in a NYC hospital with her mother and sister in the room.”

Essence.com reports Kelis welcomed a baby boy to the world July 21. She went into labor around 10:30 A.M. We’re awaiting details on the baby’s name and weight. Nas, who is currently in a bitter divorce battle with the “Bossy” singer, was reportedly at the hospital but not allowed to witness the birth of his first son. We don’t know why!? But that sucks! We hear that Kelis went into labor late this morning and is expected to deliver anytime soon. Not sure if her soon-2-be ex hubby Nas was able to witness his first son being born because as of press time, he was a no show.
