It’s official. Earlier this week, we reported that it was rumored Oprah would be ending her show. It has been confirmed by her spokesperson that the queen of daytime talk shows, Oprah Winfrey, plans to end her highly rated The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2011 after 25 years. (more…)

12 years after biting off a chunk of Evander Holyfield’s ear during their second heavyweight fight, Mike Tyson came face to face with his boxing rival – this time with Oprah as the referee. Oprah is definitely doing her thang with her all star lineups this new season!
On Tuesday, Winfrey will talk to America’s first face-transplant patient. Another guest is “the only living mermaid girl in the world,” as the show bills her. On Wednesday, Mackenzie Phillips (”One Day at a Time”) will talk about a family secret that she kept 31 years. On Thursday, Jay-Z will be on the show and will talk about music and marriage (to Beyonce)- check out the preview below.

Oprah Winfrey had a star studded week to kick off the new season of her talk show. On Friday, Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon appeared on the Oprah Show from New York’s Central Park in their first ever joint interview. They still make an odd couple to me, but I’m a sucker for love. The couple spoke about how they first met, Nick’s proposal, and the “power of faith” that brought them together. Check out clips from Oprah’s two part interview with Miss Whitney Houston. The anticipated show will air on Monday.
Houston told Oprah that her mother came to her home with the police to conduct an intervention and get her out of the house and off drugs.
“Now looking at it, I see the love and passion that my mother had for me,” she told Winfrey. “She came and said, ‘It’s not worth it.’ She said, “If you move, Bobby, they’re gonna take you down. Don’t you make one move.’ And he stood there like, he was scared. And she said, ‘Let’s go.’ She said, ‘Let’s do this.’ She said, ‘I’m not losing you to the world. I’m not losing you to Satan. I’m not doing this. I want my daughter. I want you back. I want to see that glow in your eyes. That light in your eye.’” (From ABC)

R. Kelly believes he is the best person to finish the album that Michael Jackson was working on when he died suddenly in June. “I recorded five joints for Michael Jackson (in the past). And we had been talking on the phone about his new album, and I was going to finish what Michael was doing at the time,” the singer told AOL Black Voices. And who said she doesn’t like rappers? LOL! Oprah and Jay-Z were spotted taking a tour of Marcy Projects where Hov was born and raised. Rumor has it they were filming an upcoming episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show. WOW! We also hear that Rihanna joined the two moguls for the filming. I am not sure when the show will debut, but we’ll keep you posted.
Update: I just got word that their meet was for O Magazine not for her tv talk show. Well whatever is clever, check out this audio of Oprah speaking with Gayle about her new friend HOVA. She sounds like she has a crush on him! LOL! 
OPRAH SUED FOR $1 TRILLION!

Oprah Winfrey has been sued for $1 trillion over allegations she passed another author’s work off as her own. Damon Lloyd Goffe is accusing the talk show host and her production company, Harpo Inc., of plagiarizing his book “A Tome of Poetry” in her Internet published work “Pieces of my Soul.” Dang, who sues someone for One Trillion Dollars?
