NEW YORK, NY (RHONA FOX, INC.) - Maybach Music Group founder and rap star Rick Ross has touched down in Kingston, Jamaica to launch his artist Magazeen to the dancehall community. Jamaican-born Magazeen is the only dancehall act signed to the Miami-based label, Maybach Music Group (MMG), which has a joint venture through Def Jam – a syngery Magazeen is looking to capitalize on with his fusion of dancehall, hip-hop, R&B and pop sounds and thus international appeal.
His versatile musical style can be sampled on Ross’ single “Yatch Club,” on his current album, Deeper Than Rap. “I’m coming like a loaded clip with my music,” discloses Magazeen, on his launch in Jamaica – the motherland of reggae and dancehall music. (more…)

I just don’t know why Rick Ross won’t keep his mouth shut, but I guess it keeps him relevant right? Well the latest “Mafia Music” beef is between the heavy weight rapper and the multi-division boxing champion Floyd Mayweather. Rick Ross dissed Mayweather in a song questioning the validity of Mayweather’s wealth. I mean why? Buddy made like $50 Milli in 2007…but moving on. Rick Ross said “That Mayweather money looking funny in the light.” Well, in an exclusive interview with AHH, Mayweather had some “fighting” words to throw back at “THE BOSS”. “I don’t have to take no shots at Rick Ross. I don’t think he’s making $20-$30 million every time he goes out there to perform. I got my own name, Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather. That’s original….Rap has truly changed. He was at my Hatton fight, cheering me on. I guess he got upset because I’m cool with 50 Cent. But like I said, if I need someone arrested I’ll call him.” (more…)
I can’t believe this chick is gettin’ any limelight whatsoever! “Revenge [was the motivation],” Tia said in an interview. “Who’s to say this is gonna be a success for me? That’s insane, you know. I accomplished my goal…” (MTV) Check out this video! (more…)

Rick Ross has continuously been xposed. This time around, Rick Ross’ ex-girlfriend and baby mother of his son, William Roberts III, has written a tell-all-book about “The Boss”. She brands him as a “deadbeat dad” who physically abused her during their relationship. The book is simply entitled Tia’s Diary: Deeper Than Rap. 50 Cent gave Tiallondra Kemp a bit of fame as he used to her to heighten his beef with the Miami rapper.
Check out some excerpts from the book:
“It wasn’t just the child support case that was getting me down,” it reads. “It was all of it. How he treated me like he was better than me and smarter than me during our whole relationship, how when I dated him it was almost like I dated his momma because she was so involved in his life, how his pathetic first baby’s mama did everything she could to disrespect me every step of the way and he did nothing, how he verbally and physically abused me, how I left my marriage to be with him. This was the last straw.” (Deeper Than Rap Book) (more…)

Yesterday, we reported that XXL mag received a letter from reps of Louis Vuitton who were very upset that Rick Ross was wearing bootlegg Louis Vuitton shades on the latest cover of XXL magazine.
Well, since the news broke up, Jacob Bernstein, aka “The Sunglasses Pimp,” decided to come forward to defend “The Boss”. Jacob says admits that he’s the designer behind the Miami rapper’s custom shades, saying the Louis Vuitton sunglasses are no less authentic than a customized Rolls Royce.
“It’s the same thing as buying a Rolls Royce and having it tricked out,” Bernstein told AllHipHop. “Just because the product has been customized by me doesn’t take away from the fact that the frames are authentic Louis Vuitton Millionaires.” (more…)
WOW! Poor Rick Ross, he can’t catch a break!

Rick Ross can’t escape the spotlight…Although he says he is “The Boss”, it doesn’t give him authority to rock “knock off” Louis Vuitton sunglasses on the cover of the May issue of XXL Magazine. It has been reported that the editors of XXL were suprised to receive a letter from the LV Brand concerning the knockoff glasses (probably bought off Canal Street) that were featured on their May 2009 cover. The letter read as follows:
Dear Editor:
We were dismayed to see the cover of the May 2009 issue of XXL Magazine, which features a photo of Rick Ross wearing a pair of sunglasses prominently featuring counterfeit Louis Vuitton trademarks. Because the photo has generated considerable confusion among your readers and Louis Vuitton customers among others, we feel it is important to clarify several points. (more…)
